I have little confidence winning this game because Buehrle is just b****ing and does not want to pitch at all. A perfect story line for him is getting rocked and b****ing after the game... "i told you i just hate pitching there...see what happens?"
-
This whole appeal process is bulls***...Farnsworth got 2 games without even appealing...and he's serving it today and tomorrow.

Build up an alcohol tolerance over the summer And remember to bring lots of Ramen

I haven't had fingernails all year long with this guy on the mound

Frank is pretty poor at first, IMO

Let's try this again........ I never said you have your best leadoff hitter batting 9th. You have a leadoff-type hitter who has a solid OBP batting 9th to help set the table. The Sox have not shown they have a great leadoff hitter all year, so why not bump Jiminez up and try something different? Runs are often created from the bottom of the order up. If we were talking Rickey Henderson followed by Willie Randolph, I wouldn't touch the 1-2 combination. My point was that you just don't lose the first inning order...you lose Willie's at bats for the long run. That's all. I understand what you are saying, however i disagree with it. I mean, why not bat jimenez 8, harris 9 and thomas 1 if you are so in favor of this? You don't need to.

I'll be there friday and sunday...i'd like to meet some of you guys if there's a certain meeting place for board members or anything Gotta ump 2 games saturday, won't be at that one I still will get pissed off if i see a redwings jersey...i'll be the one yelling at you if you hear anything

I would say it's much improved from last year, but certainly not good. The addition of Crede and Olivo have made it much more solid, however now the insertion of Thomas at first weakens it a bit
-
Right now Glover has close to no value. I'd like to see someone up from AAA to see what they have currently at the major league level. Maybe we will find something we can actually use.
-
They talk about the AL central a good amount on baseball tonight and how whether or not the sox are out of it and if they should trade colon, etc
-
These deals do make sense, and yes, manuel can't manage this team. I'm assuming he's gone after this year anyway, so this team would be good to go next year.
-
Don't usually have any long relief needs or spot start needs...i guess that's the explanation. And because JM loves Rick White
-
I think you can get a boatload for Colon, and i like the Boston trade idea. Fills a lot of holes and makes us younger. The projected rotation is nasty and has tons of potential, i like it. That lineup has some much needed speed and will have to play a different blend of baseball to score runs, but maybe they will have better approaches than jack for the fence every time up. I thikn the pen problem can easily be fixed....there's always guys out there you can sign to help the pen. I think it's the easiest thing to fix through the FA market anyway.

I'd rather have too much fire than a lack of fire. This white sox team has no pulse and no intensity. That's a problem.
-
If Jose keeps batting in the .100's against lefties the average will never reach there. that being said, he should never ever face lefties. That's Manuel's fault. His pitch selection is poor and he can't hit anything that moves. He swings and misses at way too many pitches right now. Where his average ends up remains to be seen i guess
-
I'd agree with that, whether he helps or hurts the cause. I think one thing that needs to be done is get White the hell out of there for a while and give someone like Ginter a chance.
-
That probably seems like the safest option at this point. Even if we do make the playoffs somehow, is this team going to reach or win a World Series? Certainly not SS2k3, i like Weaver's fire and intensity. I like guys with a mean streak. He was probly justified with his b****ing at teammates for not standing up for him if he was standing up for them.
-
His defense is probly above average, that's fine. But his offense is terrible. He can run the bases, but he's not on base enough to show those skills anyway. He's more of a liability than an asset at this point in my opinion.
-
1. why do you say that and 2. i don't really care as long as he can pitch. I'd rather have good assholes than s***ty choir boys

We got to the game about midway through the brawl. My first words were "who did VanDorp deck?" As I remember the game ended sometime after midnight with hours of penalties. I couldn't even tell you who won or what the score was but I do recall gloves all over the ice. I vaguely remember my dad convincing my mom to let me sleep in and miss half the school day because, well, i didn't get to bed til like 1 something From what i can remember, that game was the roughest i've seen...it was unbelievable
-
I think Mare should definitely stay...if you get rid of him you just traded your best bullpen asset and would need to replace him poste haste, and i don't know how you'd do that. Try moving Koch to Boston for Sanchez in some sort of deal.
-
I'm still a fan of Weaver. He still has good stuff, but how are you supposed to win in Steinbrenner's doghouse and pitching for the Yanks? Last year he was doing well with Detroit, and when he got to the Yankees he tanked. Coincidence? Like 3 years ago he was the next great thing...and i think he can still be an ace or #2. He was doing well with a crappy Detroit team. I'd do a deal for Koch. However, that shakes up the pen a bit, i guess you have Marte close, or possibly share it with Flash...would you insert Weaver into the rotation for Wright? That's a tough call
-
Someone like the Dodgers or Giants would be in need of someone like Raffy
-
True, you don't want your pitchers running the bases very often. However, Colon was barely thrown out, and if he wasn't jogging so half assidly (nice made up word usage), he would have beat it out

TexSox, just wondering why your sig is so low in number of entries
