Not only is Loaiza's ERA MORE than a full run better than Halladay's, but this is the most telling stat of all IMO...
Run support...
Halladay = 7.15 (#2 in the AL, 3rd overall)
Loaiza = 4.76 (#32 in the AL, not even in the top 40 overall)
So basically, if you give Loaiza the run support that Halladay has received, he'd be at least 16-2.

Plus, the sox are much more likely to make the playoffs, which helps. The advantage Halladay has is, hes a known commodity. That may get him in.
IMO, if the Sox make the playoffs and Loaiza's ERA is a full run better than Halladay's, it's a slam dunk. The thing that got Halladay all the publicity is this damned winning streak he's on. It's too bad we blew the lead in the last game that we faced him -- otherwise it would be over. Oh well.
Nah dude, Halladay was known as one of the best starters in the AL coming into this season, Loaiza was known as a bum. that could play against e-lo.
