  1. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 07:01 PM) Buehrle looking like he will snap that 5 game losing streak to Minnesota!! Does 31 mean anything to anyone?!?! YES!!! I think you mean 30
  2. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 06:31 PM) I'm really not trying to be negative, but Rowand just looks LOST I think he may be pressing because of the Griffey rumors, but I'll take Griffey over him anyways
  3. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 05:40 PM) 7-2 TB If they can hold it, and we can take these next 2 vs. Minny. I would be VERY
  4. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 05:31 PM) Joe Crede----just add water. The guy is an instant out. you can throw Uribe, Timo, Blum, and Dye in there as well
  5. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 05:30 PM) The Sox are 3 for their last 38 w/ RISP :puke
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 05:29 PM) Couldn't agree more with you. And I'm not sure if I'll get bashed for this, but Rowand's had a lot of bloop hits this season. He could very easily be batting .250 this season. Rowand should hit at the top or bottom of the order. He sucks in the middle.
  7. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 05:27 PM) I would've liked Jorge Cantu or Julio Lugo from Tampa Bay... ..or Huff
  8. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 05:23 PM) I'll take runs however we can get 'em at this point. Me 2, but we need to start getting more clutch hits.
  9. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 05:20 PM) How bout this offense early one huh!!?!?!? We need another hit here
  10. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) 5-2 TB Can we have their offense??
  11. Once again the D-Rays have an early lead on Cleveland, hopefully they can hold it this time!!
  12. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 03:21 PM) Sox need to grab themselves by the balls and play like they want to win something. Im tired of the excuses, tired of the whining, tired of it all. f***ing show me something and do it NOW!!! EXACTLY!!!!!!!
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 07:49 AM) Buerhle's going to have to keep Lecroy down. Of course, if the Sox don't score, it's not going to really matter. Lets get some f***ing runs tonight boys! Buehrle better not throw LeCroy anything to hit, unless we have a big lead!!
  14. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 07:29 AM) The Kids Can Choke! White Sox Baseball: You mean you didn't pay premium prices on the weekend to see Ozuna, Blum, Widger and Harris? White Sox Playoff Baseball: Just like in 2000, big lead, big thud. Grinder Rule #20: Be in your seat in time to see Crede pop up to short ... or second, or first, or to the catcher. White Sox Pitching: When have the #1 and #2 pitchers in the league ... in wild pitches. Good stuff..........But seriously, if we blow this lead we have ABSLOUTELY nothing on the Cubs. This would be the worst collapse EVER!!.........If we do blow it though our new slogan's should be....." Win in the 1st half, Die in the 2nd". "We'll get your hopes up, then break your heart!". "Watch every opposing pitcher throw like Cy Young!!". "The Kids can't play". "Good guys can't hit!". "Watch your Sox get swept by the Twins in the 2nd half!!". "August is OFFICIALLY Choke month". "If we sellout we will lose!!". " Southside s*** in their pants in the 2nd half men". "Losing Ugly!".................UGH :banghead
  15. QUOTE(Yoda @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:48 PM) I’m not even sure. Last year I said I was in and that’s because I was being very optimistic. I’ve learned now to take things more realistically. Mathematically the Indians, Twins, and Tigers can still take this division so anything can happen. I’m a big Sox fan, but I have to admit that things like these (losing slumps) don’t effect me as much as they used to. I am used to seeing my favorite baseball team choking at the end of the season and sadly it seems like that is occurring right now. Like soxin’ said in the beginning, there are better things in life. I agree this is getting a little TOO familiar. This team right now is in SERIOUS jeopardy of blowing such a huge lead it's sickening! Obviously the offense is in a serious funk, but we have to realize it's also not that good. So even when we break out of it we might be lucky to score 3-4 runs a game, which means are pitching has to be stellar down the stretch. As devastating as this sounds, i think it's very likely we may blow this lead. Now I'm still in all the way, but right now I'm not very confident we will hold it, or do ANYTHING in the playoffs if we make it...............We needed offensive help bad, and KW couldn't muster up anything but Blum. Which reminds me.........WHERE THE f*** IS GLOAD!!!!!!!!!
  16. HOLY f***ING s***!!! SOX WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How good does that sound??
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 21, 2005 -> 02:19 PM) Please, let this be easy! Don't worry. This 1's in the bag
