  2. Rowand. He's always running into walls. They even have a commercial w/ him slamming into a wall.
  3. Boone, Cuddyar, and Punto due up for the Twinkies.
  4. I can't believe it. Sosa still SUCKS! :sosasucks :sosasucks :sosasucks :sosasucks :sosasucks :sosasucks :sosasucks :sosasucks :sosasucks
  5. Palmerio singled, Sammy So-So coming up. he hit a HR earleir.
  6. Top of the 9th, Politte pitching. White, Pudge, Monrue due up.
  7. Both. W/ the 14 head-to-head w/ St. Louis, and the 10 w/ Houston, they have a shot. BTW - I'm a Big Cubs fan, but I respect the Sox and I only root against them when they play the Cubs. Last year, everyone said that had the Cubs made the playoffs, they'd be even more dangerous than in 03, b/c they had everyone down the stretch w/ the exception of Hollandsworth and Borowski. B/c of the injuries to regulars, they would have been more rested than other teams b/c of the injuries, and b/c of the injuries and the "Lemons" having to play, and the fact that they saved the season, they'd be in better shape. IMO no doubt they would have won the World Series if they had made the playoffs.
  8. The Cubs still have a shot. They have 14 head-to-head w/ the Cards, 10 w/ the Astros, and 6 w/ Atlanta.
  9. Would that "other team" happen to be the Cubs?
  10. Is that b/c Zambrano is loco on the mound?
  11. I believe those waiver wire rules only apply after July 31.
  12. I would take the loco pitcher, since he's better. Being loco is even a plus as it incites the other team.
  13. I think Urlacher would win, since he's got 20 pounds on Farns, and plus he's a monster.
  14. Not true. Tayshuan Prince was a full-time starter in only his 2nd season.
  15. Phftt... The Sox have plenty of speed. Pods, Gooch, Crash
  16. Shingo Takatsu: 1- Year worth 1M- will make 700K in 2004- includes 2005 Team option worth 2.525M or a 250K buyout- Option was EXERCISED by CHW on 10/28/04 Agent: Joe Urbon Service Time: 1.000 He doesn't have a no-trade clause. Why didn't they just send him down?
  17. That was a big splash. They got rid of a problem, and got god late inning defense, and a better SS.
  18. They're already free from So-So's contract. They payed Baltimore $16M to take So-So. There was even an article in Tribune business section that that payment hurt 1st-quarter earnings.
  19. It's amazing what they've been able to do. I was surprised that they ran away w/ it last year. They had lost Sheff, Javy Lopez, Castilla, and Mad Dog and still won. Never swrite them off until they actually lose the division. I'm surprised that Danny Graves didn't go to Atlanta after being released by the Reds.
