I watched the game with my 4 kids. With the final out we all jumped up and yelled for a bit, did high fives and then a group hug. We shot silly string around and then toasted each other with Mt. Dew. It was a blast. Plenty of teary eyes. We then calmed down a bit and watched all the postgame stuff.
I picked Konerko's slam but this is a nearly impossible task. There were these and many more. Ten minutes from now I'd maybe pick El Duque's performance against Bahston and later I'd pick another.
This morning everything seems much more real. The White Sox have won the World Series and for me it's actually sinking in and strangely I'm even more weepy about it now.
