Negative Catch All ~ House of Blues
Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to Texsox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 11, 2008 -> 08:32 PM) One of my worst memories of the Sox from last year was Ozzie leaving Contreras in about 50 pitches too long at Boston last year, a game he ended up allowing 10 runs. Who knows what would have happened, but that couldn't have helped his trade value. Now, we're stuck with our version of Barry Zito. Only differece is Count is cheaper and has about 4 years less. Otherwise, the comparison is apt. -

Say, did somebody forget to tell Alexei when the team left Cleveland? -
#42 ~ Should the whole team wear it Tuesday?

At a certain point, the distinction between honoring Jackie Robinson and ritualism starts to fade. It was nice the first time, but I would hate for it to be overdone to a point where point forget the genuine importance of Jackie. -

Save situation unless the Sox tack on a few more runs ... which would be nice. -

This is getting ugly quickly. Lot of cheap hits and the Sox are knee deep in poop-peanuts. -

Think The Giants are wishing for Crede now. They could at least get one run a game with him. -

QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 04:30 PM) If the Sox ever lose due to your having not invoked the Rally Llama I think this board is entitled to curse you out until the next win. Others are free to mention Llamas as well. But I rush home from work just to post it today. -

Let me just say this, every time I mention a Llama in a game thread this year, the sox have a big inning shortly there after. Respect the Rally Llama. -

We need to at least tie it this inning or we are pretty much screwed. -

QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 03:39 PM) We're going to head into a phase where some people on this board are going to want Swisher at 1b and Owens in CF. It will at first be called the dumbest idea on earth, and then eventually (maybe not immediately).... one of Paul/Jim will be declared done and those people will not seem so dumb. I have saved us the need to watch all these games. Hey if we get Anderson in, with Swisher at 1b, we can have a 1b leadoff hitter. Nah, lets just put Owens at 1B. Make the transition easier.
