  1. I got to see what my seats would have been but they give you a minute thirty to complete your order and make sure they freeze it up so you can't complete the order!
  2. That theory only works with the Red Sox and Yankees both losing and the Sox winning. The Sox would be at 95 today with a win, Cleveland with a loss is at 92. They win out we lose out, they beat us. The Yankees and Red Sox are both at 92. If Boston wins today and the Yankees lose then they are at 93 and 92. They both win their last game of the series to be at 94 and 93. Then the Yankees win two out of three and they are at 95 and Boston is at 95!
  3. Well seeing he already has 71 pitches in three innings he won't be in there past the fifth!
  4. Chicago White Sox 1 Pablo Ozuna, LF 2 Tadahito Iguchi, 2B 3 Paul Konerko, 1B 4 Carl Everett, DH 5 Aaron Rowand, CF 6 Jermaine Dye , RF 7 Juan Uribe, SS 8 Chris Widger, C 9 Joe Crede, 3B
  5. Guys we needed to make room for Pods to come back and sending down another outfielder who won't be on the playoff roster isn't a big deal. IMO keeping Adkins is only going to be until Tuesday, when he will be optioned so we can pitch B Mac in the doubleheader.
  6. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 12:20 AM) GRINDER RULE NUMBER 69 WHEN BLOWING YOUR MANAGER DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT SPILL THE MAN JUICE. JUST TAKE IT WITH A SMILE AND A WINK, AS YOU GOBBLE YOUR WAY .....INTO THE LINEUP. This post is just classic. He has to be blowing Ozzie for him to be getting all the playing time. When I saw Timo come up in the ninth, the really good game I had watched was now over. As far as the comments made by PK, I can say that Stewart and Ford made two great plays to keep us scoreless. Without those plays we score three maybe four runs off a great pitcher! But with that being said, this team simply sucks at hitting. We have scored in one damn inning in our last 34 innings. That is simply pathetic! And that is what has Sox fans worrying that this ship will sink! They definitely hit the iceberg!
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 01:39 PM) Your post made it seem like the reason Palmeiro started taking steroids was cause he was struggling this season and he wanted to reach 3000 hits. I'm pretty sure that's how everyone else read it also. Well thats not how it was meant to be taken. I believe he was on them the whole time, stopped taking them and couldn't hit at all, so he took them again so he could get to his 3000 hits! Next time ill make it more clear for everyone... my bad!
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 01:22 PM) You really think Palmeiro decided to start taking them this year, when the testing got strict? Don't be so naive. No I think he started to take them again after he couldn't hit without them! Nowhere did I say he just started to take them now, don't be so ignorant!
  9. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:18 PM) To Chris Widger I would reply Timo's gawn. That's the biggest impact in adding KGJ. Jr would play some DH, some OF, & if Ozzie thinks he can even some 1B. It's not any different then when Ozzie was trying to juggle time for Thomas, Timo, Dye, Everett & the rest of the bench. They never had a 4 gm losing streak in that time. Jerry pony up the $23.5M & get this done! This is probably why it won't happen. Ozzie can't possibly let Timo go.....He can't even keep him on the bench and out of the leadoff spot!
  10. Clemens would have to be a bigger idiot then Palmeiro to test positive. He didn't have anything to prove by coming back this year. He already had all his Cy Young awards, won a world series, had a s***load of money. He could have pitched like s*** this year and noone would have said anything since he is 43 and still got his $18.5 million. But he comes back and tests positive for steroids to tarnish his legacy? I don't buy this at all! Palmeiro atleast sucked the first month of the season and had to be worried he wouldn't get to his 3000 hits.....so he atleast had something to well cheat for....lol
  11. I really don't believe Ozzie likes Gload either. He would rather play his boyfriend Timo more, so having Gload on the team would take away some of his at bats. By the way when Gload was up here, Ozzie never gave him a real chance to play anyway. His overuse of Timo lately is completely mind boggling. Why didn't Gload get to play this many days in a row and have a real hitter in the lineup especially when this team obviously needs some extra hitting help right now! As for Adkins up being the twelfth pitcher, If Ozzie knew what he was doing with the bullpen this wouldn't be needed. Several times he has used three and four pitchers an inning all facing one batter each. You saw this in the opening series of the season against Cleveland he had no idea what he was doing. He left Vizcaino out to dry. And this wasn't because we needed an extra pitcher, it was because he doesn't know how to use the ones we have!
  12. Couldn't the trade go like this....White Sox get Griffey + Cash....Reds get future considerations......Then the Reds can get Young and Rogowski if thats who they really wanted without having to worry about them clearing waivers!
  13. Hey guys new poster here...Didn't see this article anywhere on here so I wanted to post it... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8829546/
