  1. QUOTE(Jimenez4MVP @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 02:27 PM) It looks like it says Norbert for the first name, i cant tell the other part Norberto Martin perhaps..? Played 2nd base for the Brewers. Did you get Lyle to sign it when he was with them..?
  2. QUOTE(Jimenez4MVP @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 02:18 PM) I have in my hand right now, and Lyle Mouton autographed Baseball... I kid you not Pfftt.. I got one better. I have one signed by both him and his cousin.

QUOTE(FoxySoxGirl @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 02:14 PM) I've lived and learned and I'll definitely get over him...it's just a shame 3 years were wasted. At least now I'm free to move about the country without worrying about anyone dragging me down Don't consider it a waste. Call it a learning experience. It happens to most at least once. If anything be thankful it was now versus in your late 20's early 30's.
  4. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) Ask yourself this, Would Podsednik deserve to be in the ASG with his current .289/.363/.337 and 41 SB with the Sox 5 games under .500? No F'n way. You guys are letting the Sox great record cloud your vision. He's 20th out of the 21 qualified LFers in terms of OPS. He's in the middle of the pack in avg, and OBP. -- He's an average at best defensive OFer. Essentially he's a one tool player. He has speed. That's it. That's not an All-Star. Makes sense.
  5. QUOTE(ceffa2000 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 11:02 AM) IMO, the main reasons he was selected to the All-Star team is his ability to get on base and cause havoc once on. He is the best base stealer on the A.L. team so pinch running seems the most obvious choice. Maybe for Paulie in a late inning leadoff single. He wasn't selected and if Sox fans didn't vote... he wouldn't be there.

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 11:41 AM) Oh, but my family still lives in the 'burbs. I'll be back. And I know where he lives..
  7. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 12:01 PM) No offense but that quote doesn't seem terribly original. And had nothing to do with the point that was made.

QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 11:10 AM) That's it? No other advice? Nope. It is what it is. Holding on to something not meant to be only makes things worse.
  9. QUOTE(3E8 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 11:13 AM) I just hate paying $17. Save $11? That's two beers! I've never seen this bus thing to Wrigley, but I seriously doubt it's $6 round trip. Maybe next time I venture to Yorktown, where apparently I am not supposed to shop .. I'll ask about it.
  10. That team.. all of them.. they are so strange.
  11. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 11:07 AM) ....or she was pretending to a be a good girl in front of Daddy. Those are always the most fun, . Oh no.. Jim and Paul talk pretty openly. It's pretty funny. When Jim and I first got together Paul used to always make comments about our "private life" and Jim would just smile and say "you wish". His ex was an extreme prude and when his son was caught with an "adult movie" she wanted to ground him... he was 20 at the time. His daughter views anything like that as degrading to females. A shame.. if she, and likely many other females, took the time and effort to learn a few things maybe their lives wouldn't be so ho hum..
  12. QUOTE(SouthSidePride05 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 11:05 AM) Thanks everyone for your responses. I just hate paying $17 but I heard that Lot G is $8 if you get there an hour and a half before gametime. Can you park there 2 hrs before gametime, and what about if you get there just 1 hr before gametime; does it fill up quickly?? I hate being on such a tight budget. BTW, why do all my threads get off topic and get out of hand? Be glad you don't have to pay $40...
  13. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 11:00 AM) lol, yeah kinda funny. They had one where they hold group classes for men, it was interesting. I like that HBO keeps pushing the limit first with Pornucopia and now Cathouse. TV should be less uptight about the whole subject, IMO. We mentioned to Jim's daughter that we watched it the last time.. her husband was like "oh hell yea!!!" and she just about had a stroke. "Dad!!! How could you watch that stuff...?!?!?!". I was like oh boy... she must be a ton of fun in the sack. My poor son-in-law.
  14. QUOTE(3E8 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 10:56 AM) Getting back to the topic, I think it would be great if the Sox had something similar. Brooks may be working on it. It wont happen. There's no need. There is parking at the cell.
  15. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 10:47 AM) I've seen like 4 episodes, there have been better ones. We watched it the last time they documented the Ranch... this one seems stupid. The girls are so flighty. And ugh.. the Viagra segment.. ick.
  16. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 10:31 AM) Does anyone watch 'Cathouse' on HBO? Watched it last night for the first time.. is it always so stupid..?
  17. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 08:23 AM) I'd put Dubois in the category of being misused by Dusty. Id he played consistently, he could easily hit .280 and hit 30+ homers. Playing behind Hollandsworth was wrong at the beginning of the year, even if Hollandsworth has had some clutch hits before their big slide. But he sucks in the field.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 10:09 AM) Thx for tip, I've had that in my hand at the video store and haven't pulled the trigger. Don't. No sense in risking a trigger pull to the temple after watching it.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 01:07 PM) Every once in a while, in a marriage, you have to 'take one for the team'. Last night was one of those nights. We went to see "Bewitched'.....that might very well be the worst movie I have ever seen. Ya ever had such a bad time somewhere that you actually become angry? Yes. The Forgotten.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 04:59 PM) Rented "The Machinist". Pretty good. Odd as well, but I bought it. Christian Bale is awesome. He lost 60 lbs for this role and is unreal. I bought it the other day and haven't watched it yet. I did buy the anniversary edition of American Psycho and watched it again.. he was amazing in that movie. Looking forward to seeing him in Batman next week also.

  23. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 09:35 AM) Every game I go to I collect some hair from the best player of that game. By the end of season I will have my full-size White Sox "hair" player to keep me warm at night. You have got to be the craziest poster on here..
  24. Every year I save the standings with the dates until the Sox are officially out. Ticket stubs also. Lord.. I have a suitcase full.

I finally saw Troy last night.. I'm not so into those kinds of movies, but I really enjoyed it. Also.. saw Hitch over the weekend.. Will Smith is hysterical and hugely underrated as an actor IMO. Kevin Smith had me LMAO also.
