QUOTE(sec159row2 @ May 10, 2005 -> 01:50 PM) I think they just released these tix today... 'cause yesterday I was looking also, and ticketmaster wanted to put me in club level for thurs... I will maintain my belief that the white sox NEVER sell all of their of their tickets... the sales department always has some up their sleaves... This is common practice for any ticketed event there. All tickets are not released until literally 10 minutes to game time.. and then the F&F reserved are released AFTER the 3rd inning.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 10, 2005 -> 10:40 AM) Haha, if he doesn't play, the ticket sales will drop off and we'll have a walkup crowd of about 1,000. Face it, Cubs fans are buying this series, not Sox fans which is dissapointing. All 4 games are near sold out already. And FWIW.. Baltimore fans come in droves to Chicago every year for this series.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 10, 2005 -> 11:40 AM) That's very strange about your grandma, because unless you are extremely near sighted or took a blow to the head, like boxers, they are very, very rare. The recovery sux. I don't remember what the cause was.. but I remember her having to wear a patch for what seemed like months. Does it itch? Thinking about it makes my eyes itch.
-
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 10, 2005 -> 11:35 AM) Nope, no pain, no symptoms, I went in for a routine eye exam and (luckily) they found it. I am extremely near sighted, so I'm high risk for them. Your grandma is a tough lady, lol. Wow.. good thing they caught it for you then. Weird thing.. my grama was 67 when they found hers. She never even needed glasses before then. I hope I am blessed with her vision.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 10, 2005 -> 10:39 AM) I had the same surgery in Nov. A partial retinal detachment gets worse and worse and if left untreated will lead to blindness. The catch is that they have no way of telling how long your vision will be stable and usually don't want to gamble. When the Dr. told me I had one, they wanted to operate that same night and mine was not a severe one. I wanted to hold off on my surgery and he said 'you could literally wake up tomorrow and be blind in that eye.' They operated on me the following morning. For some reason, they must have thought Hawk's was not urgent. ....but I digress. Ahhh.. my grama had one. She is a bus driver and she was able to hold off on having the surgery until the school year ended. Her's definitely must have not been anywhere as bad as yours. Did yours hurt..? She said she didn't even know anything was even wrong with hers..

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ May 10, 2005 -> 10:29 AM) Wow, when I got in this morning the police chief said he had no clue as to who did it. Said, for all he knew it could have been Santa Clause They were speculating this morning on Channel 2 that it would be the father of one of the girls.
-
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 10, 2005 -> 10:24 AM) That's strange that they would have delayed that kind of surgery for over a month. Why is that..? It usually doesn't get worse.. and it doesn't hurt. I'm sure it was up to Hawk when to have the surgery.

QUOTE(YASNY @ May 10, 2005 -> 10:17 AM) OK. Even with that. To have people expecting the guy to get coaching for a 3 day gig, when he doesn't have any apparent long term plans to try and make a career out of it, is asking a lot. Gotta gripe about something..
-
QUOTE(YASNY @ May 10, 2005 -> 10:13 AM) Didn't this just come up due to Hawk's detached retina surgery? Robin mentioned it during his broadcast in ST, so I would say that Hawks surgery was known about then.
-
QUOTE(YASNY @ May 10, 2005 -> 10:04 AM) They were last minute fillins doing a favor for the Sox. Damn we are a critical bunch. Robin knew he was doing the Tampa games in ST.

QUOTE(YASNY @ May 10, 2005 -> 10:02 AM) I think we need to stop trying to examine the personal details of Willie Harris's life and let the family mourn in peace. Thank you Yas.. My reply was a bit more harsh...

QUOTE(YASNY @ May 10, 2005 -> 02:11 AM) We don't need Frank in our line up? Have you looked at our team OBP lately? I can't believe anyone could possible think that and consider it logical. Consider the source...

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ May 9, 2005 -> 11:42 AM) Excederin, the headache medicine. I have a bottle here at school, one in my bathroom and one in my kitchen at the apartment, and a little sample size bottle in my car. Covering all the bases. Ditto. I love that stuff.

Good for him. The guy is a machine. I bet he does better than many ML'ers. -
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 9, 2005 -> 01:03 AM) Playing one of the worst teams in the AL should be easy.......right? I'm sure Boston and the Yankees thought so.. One series at a time..

QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ May 5, 2005 -> 05:05 PM) I hate to say it and I know it won't happen but I would like to have Jeter on our team. I think Jeter is more selfish than ARod... No specific reason.. just a hunch.

It's getting pretty f***ing stupid with every reply from you to me is touche... if you didn't f***ing get it, though everyone else did, after I explained it to you then ask and I'll be glad to explain it again. I'll have to leave.. or I'll have to deal with my grama. You do NOT want to mess with a 75 year old Italian woman by getting between her and her gravy...
