QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 07:34 PM) Its fun to remember the good ole days, ain't it Steff? It's funny, I'll give it that. I never really did any of that stuff (sneaking into bars) until I was 19ish, and then I somehow was always the DD. I had my own apartment so most of the time my friends and I hung out there. I never had troubles with cops but I know plenty who did. It also helped that I went to St Xavier, didn't live on campus, and had a near full time job.

QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Feb 6, 2005 -> 02:42 AM) I'm going to go against this trend here and say I liked The Grudge more than AvP. In my opinion AvP was generic crap whereas The Grudge is only a step in turning the Ju-On franchise into total crap and therefore being superior. I actually didn't think The Grudge was much worse than any of the Asian versions, but for whatever reasons it seems like most people did. AVP at least had a plot. When I first heard about it I thought it was going to be bulls*** trying to tie 2 outer space lifeforms to earthlings.. but I thought the way they did it was very clever. The fighting was the same old, same old.. but there was really nothing they could do about that. I really liked how the Preditor was "human like" also. The Grudge.. no plot, no explination, no conclusion, IMO. I was struggling to stay awake and I absolutely love horror, scary, sci-fi movies like that. I was very disappointed with it. I am totally looking forward to The Boogyman. That looks like a kick ass movie..

He admitted to taking them long ago did he not..? Isn't he the one that outed Ken..?I know the stuff about others is new (and so out of line, IMO) but him taking them isn't new news that I recall.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Feb 6, 2005 -> 07:24 AM) Just curious. What's the per game cost of these seats? IIRC... it's $150 for rows 2 and back, $200 for the first row (might be $200 and $250 - I can't remember and I'm too lazy to look ). It does include food, drink, ticket, and parking. But still.. that's pretty steep for most people.

Watched The Grudge and AVP tonight.. Jason.. I think it was you that told me AVP was great.. and it was. I was glued to the tv. The Grudge, IMO, sucked.

Thanks QP. I couldn't find anything...

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Feb 5, 2005 -> 05:23 PM) Steff -- Do you plan on sitting there for any games this season? (Just wondering...) And -- they aren't offering single game tickets there? I'd be interested in sitting there for maybe a game, that seems like a really cool seat... We already know we'll be for at least 2 games but I doubt any more than that unless the price comes down. They said if the 40 or 27 game packages don't sell they'll have to sell singles. Honestly I don't see it filling up any other way.

All wristbands ordered are in the mail. I have 10 left which I am going to put on eBay. As of right now $62 is going towards the White Sox Food Drive. Anything made on eBay will be added to that fund. Thanks guys. I'm sure the Sox will appreciate the donation.

QUOTE(upnorthsox @ Feb 5, 2005 -> 07:38 AM) 77 out of how many? It might end up looking worse on TV to always have a bunch of empty seats in the background than just the black hole that was there before. 309. I have a feeling they will either lower the price or offer single games to lessen the empty look. Or exchange with suit holders since it's about the same cost per person.

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Feb 4, 2005 -> 06:26 PM) Just to clarify, that was the title of the article. But I don't think it's that hot of a dress. The cut is awful (the straight waist skirt that sort of starts out of nowhere. It's not really even flattering on the model, so that's a bad sign. I agree. I thought sequins style like that went out long ago..?

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Feb 5, 2005 -> 12:51 AM) I think those scout seats are gonna be really cool and a nice little feature at the Cell. Thanks Steff!!! I think they will also.. but not for the price tag they are at. They are going to offer 40 and 27 game packages for them, which is good news for those that don't want the 81 game commitment. They have only sold 77 seats so far. Even with food and liquor included I don't think it's worth it to pay that much.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Feb 4, 2005 -> 01:14 PM) Not really clear whats happening there but they have 2 Delta planes on the ground and swarms of authorities around them in the wake of a hijacking threat. Hear anything more about this Nuke..?

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 4, 2005 -> 10:59 PM) Returning home from Chicago on the Metra service (around 3:15), there were several trucks parked outside the ballpark with Berwyn labels. Nice gig for your company to provide moving services for the White Sox. Also happened to notice a sizable collection of blue seats stored alongside the 2nd story walkway. I'd be interested in finding out whether or not these seats will be repainted, or perhaps sold to season ticket holders (ie, last year). If not, I believe I'll visit the Cell tomorrow.....to "observe" these locations....yeah.... Nothing Berwin associated with us. The seats will go to ST holders first, then sold for charity.

QUOTE(Goldmember @ Feb 4, 2005 -> 10:32 PM) now i feel like a jerk... Don't. I did ask Vinny if I could snag a couple for the folks that knew I was going. He said he didn't see a problem with it, but we went and wandered around and I didn't get back to the dock until they had been sent on their way.

QUOTE(Goldmember @ Feb 4, 2005 -> 10:12 PM) game used? shoulda stuck one down the side of your pant leg and walked out with it... They are for the kids the Sox support for a charity in Rockford. Most of them were altered (pine tar sanded off) so they didn't look game used like the ones I already have. Probably could have walked out of there with anything I wanted though. We wandered pretty much where we wanted. It was fun.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Feb 4, 2005 -> 09:49 PM) Steff, how's the left field "FUNDAMENTALS" area looking? Any progress yet as far as the building of the mini-baseball field? It's not looking like anything. They are pouring all the new supports under the seats right now. That has to be done before they do anything up there. But they swear it will be ready in time. Also, the shower is moving. Likely over by the rain room.

Some of the guys moving and the truck for the scorecard and print ads that we'll be doing.. Hmm.. it wont let me add those for some reason. They are boring anyway.

Today was moving day for the Sox equipment so I spent the afternoon at the Cell wandering and taking some pics. Thought you guys might want to see.. Here's some construction ones.
