It's common for gold to get stress fractures. Mostly on chicks rings because they are not as solid or large as mens. I got a platinum band specifically because of that. You'll probably have to have it repaired a few times over the lifetime of the ring. In the begining it happens more frequently because it's new and it's forming to your finger.
