I guess I tried anyway -- and failed, to boot. Who are the popular teams and why? Also, what are the most popular jerseys?

I know nothing about the certain teams, and I would like to buy a jersey. Can someone tell me about the teams and try to compare them to baseball, if that is possible. So far I like the arsenal, chelsea and liverpool jerseys.
