Perhaps you misunderstood Morrissey's point, but he, like many, was hoping that the Sox would land Griffey, so we wouldn't have to watch guys like Everett choke and to add some punch to the lifeless offense. And he took a shot at some of the pitchers (Garcia, Buehrle) in the process. Is this all too rough for you?

Tito--grab Kap a tissue...Sox fans everywhere will be ripping this club if they blow this lead and they have every right to. This is not some fade because of a rash of injuries. It's a fade because a bunch of mentally weak veterans are choking... If they blow this ( and I don't think they will) I want all these weak veterans gone, because they will not be forgiven...All of them: Buehrle, Garcia, Everett, Konerko, Rowand and Hermanson. And, yes, even Ozzie.

How in the world did Pods become Konerko? I say, sit him and play Borchard.

Wake up, Rock. Like I'm criticizing season-ticket holders? I'm criticizing the town of Chicago for not supporting OUR team. Besides, I've been around longer than just about all of you and have supported the Sox for a lot longer, as well. You guys need to lighten up or you will continue to lose people who can contribute to this site.

Aww..did ya get your feelings hurt a bit with my post? Those crowds this past week were AWFUL! I was around during the 1977 season and those were fans! I'm not ripping you guys or Sox fans in general. I'm ripping the city for not supporting such a good team! This club deserves 30,000 each night for what they've accomplished this season. Even the players admitted that they've come out flat because of the enormous amount of blue seats visible to them. By the way, I could handle any "four-letter" words you could throw out, either on here or in person. So, let 'em fly.

Farmer is so bad on play-by-play that it won't matter who does color. North, on the other hand, might be the perfect complement for Farmer.

Thomas will be back next season with the Sox. There will be room since Konerko and probably Everett won't be back. No other team will want him. The Sox could give him an incentive-laden contract totaling about $5 million. He won't get anything close anywhere else.
