U have to understand things go in spurts, just 4-5 years ago USC wasn't sh**. BTW for a school to be listed in a top 5 out of over 100 how is that an "also ran?" I recognize Michigan's strong academics and football tradition, it just wouldn't be one of my top 3 choices for my son. Maybe 'cuz my son is only 4 I'm looking at things more in general than they are at this current time. That's why I'm not thinking USC and UCLA just seems like a better place to me. Nebraska, 'cuz it's been my personal fav since 1982...I've been there and the people are genuinely polite and friendly like no other place I've been....and there is no comp in the entire state for their football team and Lincoln is not all cornfields as it seems most believe. Stanford, they've been down some lately but they have a very strong football tradition and I don't see why they can't make it back. Notre Dame, pretty much the same as Stanford.

My friend told me about that place for about 8 months before I decided to join. I made the mistake of writing my first post the night Illinois lost to UNC. I'm a fan of neither team and tried to inject some objectivity into all of their whining by saying each team had bad calls against them and the total lack of class some Illinois fans were demonstrating was an injustice to both teams as it was a great game etc etc. Without a warning or anything I got put on "timeout" and was labled a troll by the ultra sensitive mod who was upset his team lost and took it out on me. I emailed him asking why I was banned and he told me "you're not banned! You're just on timeout. It was a bad move on your part to make your first post about Illinois fans showing a lack of class." I didn't know there was a criteria for one's first post. What a whiny crew they have over there. Glad that same friend told me about Sox Talk!!!

I was a pub last night, where they had the juke box blastin' and the NFL game on 2 of the 3 TV's. Luckily the bartender gave me the remote when I asked if she could put the Sox game on the TV nearest to me. Anyway, they kept showing Cotts (and he was just sitting there), but I couldn't hear what they were saying about him....we even tried to put on the closed captions, but it didn't work. I'd like to know why they kept showing Cotts, is he injured? Lil' help please. Thanks

Just not sure I want him anywhere near the mound in the 8th or 9th right now.
