  1. QUOTE(Funkman7 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 01:18 PM) I miss the old days of camping out dangerously overnight. im on your side
  2. QUOTE(CrimsonWeltall @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) I had 3 tickets to game 2 and Ticketbastard FROZE during at the credit card submission page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! maybe you got 'em anyway?
  3. haha i saw the top of a word and decided i'd guess rather than wait for the rest...it turned out to be network, rather than potwork i guess i should have known, cuz there's no such word as potwork
  4. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 01:11 PM) I find it depressing I accessed the main request page for tickets immediately after 12:00, filled in the seating and "best available" option, typed in the correct verification word, and found myself at a page which suggested no tickets were available. At 12:00 and 40 seconds, can this sit legitimately tell me there are no tickets available? yah i got the same deal... c'est la vie i guess
  5. haha ok that was mildly amusing...but a little depressing too
  6. haha at 12:03 "this event no longer exists"

I really do miss Hawk's utter lack of neutrality. I'm sure they'd both have a hard time maintaining professionalism, and I'd like nothing more than to hear them freak out when the Sox win! This has got to be Hawk's dream, he loves this team so much. Oh well, hope he's having a good time!
  11. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 02:19 AM) I'm not taking anything for granted. We are in an unbelievable situation right now. But, as that other lame team in Chicago taught us 2 years ago, it's ain't over until it's over. We gotta go for the throat in game 5. Don't give them any kinda hope they can get back in this thing. I think Jose is the right man for the job. I still can't believe this is happening. Think we can hire Bartman to snag an Angels' foul ball? Vladdy would be so pissed...
  12. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 11:36 PM) Lighten the f*** up. And I dont want anyone telling me to not jinx anything, and the Cubs did the same thing. Were not the Cubs, we dont have a curse, and we have dominated the Halos. Its out year. I'm glad somebody said it. Of all the long-drought teams, we're the only ones who haven't blamed an outside source for our failure (i.e. The Curse). I think that really says something about the character of the fan base. No excuses, just win!!!
  13. Come to mention it, he does seem to be clearing a little early. I'll have to take an extended look his next AB. But as caffeinated said, it looks as though he's taking a little extra power as the lead's been higher. With a six run lead, he hardly needs to slap hit and he probably wants to prove himself as a solid power guy. Of course, we don't need convincing, but perhaps the rest of the nation does.
  14. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 10:51 PM) I've worn a different Sox cap each game. The game we dropped I was wearing a cap signed by Josh Paul. :banghead Big problem now, though. After tonight I'M OUT OF CAPS!! if we lose, the blame falls squarely on you. no sox players, no umpires, no NOTHIN. just you.
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 03:37 AM) Just so everyone realizes Byrd is a good pitcher, seems like people think he sucks..well he doesn't. Anyways, as I've been throughout the post season and this season, I'm very confident in our guys but I'm also nervous because that's just how I am. Anyways, GO SOX!!!!!!!!! i know what you mean...its hard NOT to be nervous at this point in the (post)season
  16. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) Haha. I know. I was just joking. dammit, man! i dont understand this "sarcasm" stuff... anyway, GREAT GAME!!!!!!!!! I'M SO RIDICULOUSLY STOKED ABOUT THIS TEAM!!!!!!!!! FREDDY, YOU'RE MY FOURTH HERO OF THIS SERIES!
  17. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 10:55 PM) We're gonna regret not scoring that run from 3rd. dude i know pessimism is the name of the game...but a 6-run 9th inning from a team that hasn't hit s*** all series? not likely. uh oh, i hope i didnt jinx........
  18. come on, it would be sorta cool to see back to back to BACK complete games, huh? not smart, but cool.
  19. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 10:46 PM) Do you realize how many times that happens in a game with all 2bs through the year. Whatever. You guys just b**** away. Always gotta b**** about something. b****ing is good for your cholesterol. i saw it in the enquirer
  20. its cool, we got a 6 run lead. get it next time, gooch! rookie mistake
  21. RAAALLY CREDEEEE!
  22. you know, for all the crappy announcing buck's put forth, piniella's been alright. i say he quits managing and settles down in the booth.
  23. theyre vying for film rights to Eight Men Out II
  24. QUOTE(ScottyDo @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 10:16 PM) god, i almost hope we don't score this inning so we don't have to hear about another f***ing missed call... oops, i got my wish
  25. god, i almost hope we don't score this inning so we don't have to hear about another f***ing missed call...
