DOINK!First pitch hit deep off of the dock of the Bay...QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Sep 5, 2009 -> 04:51 PM) hasn't he been off a couple years now?,that would be quick of the blue jays to dump him after just basically half a season of sucking They need the payroll back, bad.QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Sep 5, 2009 -> 04:45 PM) He used it as his finisher on one batter earlier in the game, but it’s moving so violently today that I don’t think he trusts it. He keeps getting on the side of it, and almost throwing a slider. I don't think he has thrown it close half of the time today. What is amazing about Floyd so far, as he has nothing on his curve today. He is strictly fastball/Cutter/change out thereSo goes Getz catch Pods for the team lead in steals?Gee, does anyone think Getz is running here?QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Sep 5, 2009 -> 04:32 PM) Wow, Peavy actually is in the clubhouse. In uniform. I did not notice that. No more minors to pitch in now.QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 5, 2009 -> 04:31 PM) Kotsay needs to be brought back next year They just reported that Oz told Kenny that he wants him back.Kotsay>Brian AndersonLOL @ Gavin calling Buehrle "Mr. Perfect"Meh, Hafner is just a juicer.Curse Nick Green and his nasty fastball.15 up, 15 down.Kindly they gave us witesoxfan.QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 5, 2009 -> 04:05 PM) A.J. was actually safe. Ump blew the call. The slowed the replay down later... he was out for sure.QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Sep 5, 2009 -> 03:11 PM) If you have an oppurtunity to add Felix to an already strong rotation- you do it. And ban me from this site?!? never!! My 'offer' was a bit exaggerated because of how much in return Seattle would ask for, and they have every right to ask for the moon for King Felix. For that sort of investment, the Sox could improve the team a lot more in other areas. The starters are pretty good already.Gavin 12 up, 12 down.QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 5, 2009 -> 03:51 PM) You have a problem with his high strikeout rate and you suggested Adam Dunn as an option? Maybe Mark Reynolds is available?Back spasms... Nix is in the line up now.QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 5, 2009 -> 01:41 PM) You think Ramirez is a better option in CF than Rios? It would look like 1B Konerko 2B Getz/Nix SS Beckham 3B Figgins LF TCQ CF Ramirez RF Rios C AJ DH Dye or ThomeQUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Sep 5, 2009 -> 12:59 PM) So....he already passed Bevington?? Congrats Ozzie! Bev is 14th with 222 wins. That wins ties Ozzie with Jerry Manuel for 4th all-time in wins under a manager in Sox history. Next on the list is Tony LaRussa with 522. After that are Al Lopez with 840 and Jimmy Dykes with 899.
