There is also globalthermonuclear war potential. Lock up the strip clubs.

Aye this thread has gone into the loo.

Ummm, why did everyone just turn English?

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 9, 2009 -> 01:51 PM) It's funny seeing you say this because it's been said over and over and over that this is the reason Crede was losing effectiveness and wasn't likely to be effective anymore and as such wasn't a good fit for the Sox going forward, and yet it still got resistance. I guess it's just ironic. I thank Crede for all the good he's done for the Sox. I also recognize reality. Good point. Great post. Did we really want to flush 5 million dollars down the drain this year?

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 9, 2009 -> 01:49 PM) First 10 posts after the eventual error will include the words "worthless", "overpaid", and "pathetic". Did I miss any others? "sucks"

Yeah, picking a "favorite" does the others a disservice. There isn't even an ordinary album in the lot.

Imitator.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 9, 2009 -> 12:08 PM) I look forward to Rios' first error in CF. People will want his head. Like they don't already. I am glad we did manage to replace Brian Anderson and Joe Crede as the most polarizing players on this team though.

I broadcast high school football in my hometown. We are currently 8th in the state of Indiana.

Nice write up! I pinned it, and sent it to everyone in the Soxtalk facebook group.

I voted Revolver, but it is interesting that during the Anthologies, George even said that Rubber Soul and Revolver could have been part one and two of the same album. As for my favorite, Paul is my favorite, but there is no Beatles without the four of them. They all brought incredible things to the group, and did very well on their own as well.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 9, 2009 -> 10:36 AM) I get it. Eye for an eye. You were outraged in 1991 that some Democrats criticized GHB so now you have to "get them back". Uh, it looks to me like he is pointing out hypocrites, much like you were trying to do in the Dem thread.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 9, 2009 -> 08:59 AM) 2 games under .500 against OAKLAND I think we're a combined .500 against KC, CLE and Baltimore. DET has really played so much better, especially that TB series. They definitely deserve the division...everyone was saying they'd finish with 84-85-86 victories, but they're on pace for 87 or 88 probably, about like our team last year. Actually, with the front end of their rotation, they're probably more dangerous in the playoffs than we were, for sure. But that offense will really struggle to score runs...however, they're able to comeback and also win in the late innings, something we've failed to do consistently this year, so we'll see what happens in the playoffs. The Twins are definitely a bigger disappointment than the White Sox, especially considering it was their last year in DOME-LAND to use that to their advantage before they have to adjust to a new park like the rest of the league. With all of the injuries Minnesota had, I wouldn't call them a disappointment. To me the Mets fall into the same category.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Sep 9, 2009 -> 08:50 AM) Not much really. We are what we are. And unfortunately, it's really not all that good, although I think the main pieces are in place, but a little more tweaking is needed. It will be an interesting off season. I really can't wait to hear what the issues behind the scenes were. There really seems like a reason things didn't come together this year, but I am not quite sure what it is. Something like hidden injuries or chemistry seems the most likely.

Hopefully I will able to post in here very soon...

The digitally remastered catelogue and Rock Band both come out today... Is anyone buying them?

Unless you are a Blackhawks fan... then it is hockey season.

I finally saw the unedited version of Waiting. I had seen it before on Comedy Central, but was not done justice that way. Great comedy.

Out of curiousity, how do they explain this on the island? This is like 10 players in the last year. That can't go over well, can it?

He's right. What else can you say?

Very interesting. The thing to remember is that this does not mean these are all of the notes he took. There is nothing to say that stuff was lost or destroyed over the years.

Pikes with heads on them... that's what.

NOW STOP IT@!!

Just another four weeks of this crap.

Hell, like it matters anyway...
