Easley was cut before the season, a sign the Tigs are serious about cutting losses and moving on into the future. I don't think anyone in Detroit is down on Higginson. If their GM and manager stay the course, they should be a contender in a few years. Easley and Higgenson are getting almost $20 million from the Tigers this year. Also on that list is Matt Anderson.
