  1. Sounds like someone's solution to everything!!! Or maybe that IS Marks problem!!!!
  2. Pauly is coming around. YOu can see his approach at the plate is completely different than it was the first 3 weeks of the season.
  3. I'd have a closed door team meeting with coaches and the manager, and tell them simply this. This is Jerry's team until proven otherwise. Now go play like you are capable of playing. Then I would give it a month and see what happened. Then I would assess from there.
  4. Did the fact that he was a free agent change that, or does it even matter?
  5. Maroth looked good both times against us, he just has had no luck. Everytime he pitches well the Tigers don't score.
  6. And I can't argue with him either!
  7. They better not set up the buffet table in Beane's suite!
  8. rumors now are KW didnt make the oakland trip...this is getting goood.. i know this..eddie einhorn and danny evans are lkinda close...wonder whats in the works??? My guess is nothing. I joked with Danny tonight asking him if coming back was a reunion or if he was coming back to the Sox. He laughed and referred to LA as the place he wants to be now. I'd certainly welcome it. But I don't think teams take another team's GM during the season. Would that be unprecedented? i wasnt thinking about for this season...i figure hemod or someone gets the job on an interim basis...depending on how he is doing in la-la land maybe he will be free this off season???...at least that was my thinking..but if he says LA is the place for him then he is probably banking on staying there for awhile...all in all...i think he has done a real god job out there I would guess unless there is something we don't know about LA, that he stay in LA. It is much higher profile, a great farm system, and a way bigger budget.
  9. HSC, this is exactly how I feel. If KW is indeed manipulating the game, then we have been blasting the wrong person.
  10. What is up with Mark and the first inning this year? It is almost like he isn't fully into the game in the first inning. I wonder if he isn't being intense enough in his pregame routine?
  11. Did the whole pitching experiment end with Jason? What happened to that?
  12. Interesting theory. Shea Hillenbrand would be a perfect fit at 3B for the 'Stros
  13. The way we are playing now, we indeed might still be able to catch Cleveland...
  14. That was a mental mistake he made out there. He was gliding to the play and giving it the whole "under control" look instead of running to a spot, making the call, and making the catch. That is an attitude and hustle thing, not a fielding issue.
  15. They get told from the bench where to play.
  16. Have fun man, I am sooo jealous.
  17. Good stuff man, if I haven't told you before.
  18. I saw that exact thing happen tonight, granted it was a 16 year old playing in his first year of adult softball...
  19. hmm counting both the 2k2 and 2k3 ID's oh about 10K give or take 1K, but that is different. All right PA, I am outta here for the day, enjoy your bootleg internet!
  20. Yeah anyone who has over 4000 posts on ESPN must be working hard
  21. LOL! Did you find a way around the firewall, or did they relent and give you guys internet?
  22. Get a partial ticket plan and you can go to the season ticket holder party and play catch. You can also pick up the dugout phones, and pretend you are the manager and KW is calling to tell you what to do. Then yell "f*** Off AssFace!" and hang up. Last year I flopped around on the ground in leftfield to get the same perspective that C.Lee does most games. Then I sat in the sox dugout for 3 hours to see what life was like for Jeff Liefer. LMAO! Did you stand on the mound and whip your head towards left field repeatedly to see how Billy Koch sees the game?
  23. ROTFLMAO!!!! Geez, I just had a flashback to that whole expensive car-penis size arguement.
  24. Meh, that was my next guess, right after Charles Comiskey of course. Baseball's original tight wad owner...
