  1. hey dude, maybe you should follow another sport then lol. I dont care WHEN he gives up his hits or runs, just that he does. Now that is funny. It doesn't matter when they give them up, huh? Think about that just a little bit.
  2. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/game...og?statsId=6552 OK well looking at his game log and stats, he has had one outing that is accounting for 45% of his era, and about 1/3 of his walks. 9 of his appreances have been perfect, 11 of his appearances he hasn't given up a hit. He is averaging a strike out an inning, and has only given up one HR in just over 24 IP. He has one loss where he came in, in a tie game, and only one blown save, of which he went two innings and ended up getting the win. STATISTICALLY he looks like he is doing a damn good job to me.
  3. Yeah right HSC, this is a White Sox board. you'd have better luck just asking someone for the $10!
  4. Hitters: 1 pt per base & 1 base for each advancement of a runner. Pitchers: 1 pt per out, -1 pt per base, -1 pt per run If that is too much to remember or too complex, you need help IN other words I have to go dig through the play by play of each game and figure out even if someone made an out if they moved someone up and how far they moved up on each hit. I would have to cross reference every single AB in the game that occured with someone on. Plus I would have to note how many outs there were when something happened. How is that easier? Right now all I need is in the box score. You're kidding about this being easier right?
  5. Esteban is making me a little nervous so far today. He has been in a couple of tough jams so far. You can't give the Twins that many chances or eventually they will take advantage.
  6. OH NO don't equate Clayton with me. I hated that POS. I am a fan of Jose's, I just wasn't sure if anyone else realized how bad of a slump that Val had been in.
  7. Maybe I should have said something about his hitting a couple of weeks ago!
  8. Crede with a leadoff double. Let's hope unlike the Twins we can score this guy!
  9. Nice pitching by Esteban to get out of the 2nd. Lead of double by Meink, moved to third with one out, and then great defense behind ELo by Crede holds the runner on a ground out, then Meink strays too far off of 3rd thinking he might be able to score on a WP, but Olivo guns him trying to get back to 3rd. On the play Mein twists his ankle and is out of the game.
  10. If he isn't hitting what exactly is he giving us?
  11. We already have KW as GM, what's the difference?...
  12. OK I have thought about it, and there is only about one way to do this. I am going to go ahead and add pitching to the pick to click equation. There will be two sets of pitchers that can be picked. The starting pitcher will can be one pick, and the entire bullpen can be the other. But since I have yet to be convinced that there is a really fair and easy way to equalize the hitters and pitchers, we will stick with the point system for hitters, but if the pitching prefomance warrants I will annoint either the starting pitcher or the preformance of the bullpen as a whole the winner of the Pick to Click for that day. Comments and Questions please
  13. So only Ugly people commit crimes?
  14. Miguel Olivo, Carlos Lee, and Maggs all ended the game with two points. After looking at the tie breakers Maggs had a strikeout and 3 outs so he drops off. Olivo and Lee had zero K's and two outs so they would have stayed tied, but no one picked Olivo, so the winner is Carlos Lee. Winners with Lee were Sox1422, Theoldroman, and CaliSoxfan
  15. how much more bad luck do we need? An unearned run on a turf bounce on a routine throw from RF, and then Torii f***ing Hunter and his 42 inch vertical steal the game tying HR from Carlos. Plus another unearned run because of a Wunsch error. Jesus we just f***ing wasted the best preformance of the year from paraiah Jon Garland!!!
  16. Anyone know how degrees of separation work? Is a 3rd degree worse than a 2nd degree, or not as bad as a 2nd degree?
  17. They want to see if their defense is better with Maggs in CF and Rios in RF or vice versa. Maggs did play some center for us back when he first came up.
  18. Yeah that was something else. Cost his team a run and all.
  19. Garland 78 pitches through 5 IP, how much farther do you let him go? With the 9 days off, do you try to extend him to 110 pitches???
  20. With a guy who has dislocated his shoulder running into walls, and took a 30 foot dive off of a cliff on a dirtbike, there is nothing more fitting.
