Inge is versatile but he is now their starting third baseman and he's not very good defensively there. And I think we saw the real Carlos Guillen last season after the roids from 2004 wore off. There's no way he's a 20 homerun shortstop. I really like Polanco though and Shelton looks like a good hitter.

Inge is nothing special. He just hit some big homers against us last season.

He's having a terrible spring and Boston's infield looks overloaded. Trading Tony Graffanino and/or Dustan Mohr might help his chances though.

KW depending on a guy like Matt Thornton looks to be his worst move since trading for Todd Ritchie. Not sure what he's thinking with this one.

Gload would probably DH and play some 1B while Konerko DH's. Or they could call up Bucky Jacobsen from Charlotte if he's raking at the time.

Thome didn't play in the ST game today but he may have played in the minor league game. Not sure. I'm sure Thome will be ready to go on opening day. No worries.

Thome tweaked his hamstring a week ago but he's fine now. I believe the last time Thome played was a day or two ago in a minor league game. He batted second in every inning of the game and went 2 for 6 with a HR and 2 walks. Here are his ST stats... Jim Thome (ST stats)

Agreed, I think I'd rather have both Logan and Lopez make the roster than Logan and Thornton. Anderson is raking.

LOL, that was pretty impressive. Sean Marshall looks like their best pitching prospect. But in typical Cubs fashion, they failed to score in the bottom of the 9th with the bases loaded and 1 out and Koronka broke up the combined no-hitter in the top of the 10th. They ended up winning it though.

Anderson has had a sick game today. Prediction: Armando Almanza will be reassigned to minor-league camp later today.
