3/25 Game Thread: Sox vs. Giants
I hope so. Not sure you can just assume that, especially in Jenks' case.

Heh, Uribe looks horrible one play and great the next.

I would trade a lot of these guys for a decent reliever right now. Half of them turn out to be busts anyways. Not all of them suck but quickman has the right idea, IMO.

I'm probably wrong then. I must be thinking about how Ozzie wants to get Cotts more work in the late-innings to help cover for Jenks.

I know Cotts is supposed to pitch today. Not sure about Jenks though.

Red Sox claim Hee-Seop Choi off waivers
I was just looking at the N.L. rosters and I may have found the answer to why Choi slipped through waivers past the entire N.L. Right now, Choi looks like a decent backup first baseman or possible platoon partner with a right-handed first baseman but almost every team in the N.L. has a lefty starting or backup first basemen already on their roster. This is likely why no N.L. team claimed Choi. N.L. East Braves -- Adam LaRoche (lefty) Phillies -- Ryan Howard (lefty) Marlins -- Mike Jacobs (lefty) Mets -- Carlos Delgado (lefty) Nationals -- Nick Johnson (lefty) N.L. Central Cardinals -- Albert Pujols (righty) / Chris Duncan (lefty) Astros -- Lance Berkman (switch) / Mike Lamb (lefty) / Jeff Bagwell (righty) Brewers -- Prince Fielder (lefty) Cubs -- Derrek Lee (righty) / John Mabry (lefty) Reds -- Scott Hatteberg (lefty) / Adam Dunn (lefty) Pirates -- Sean Casey (lefty) N.L. West Padres -- Ryan Klesko (lefty) / Adrian Gonzalez (lefty) Diamondbacks -- Conor Jackson (righty) / Tony Clark (switch) Giants -- Lance Niekro (righty) / Mark Sweeney (lefty) Dodgers -- Nomar Garciaparra (righty) / Olmedo Saenz (righty) Rockies -- Todd Helton (lefty)

Bruce Levine: "Sox interested in Juan Cruz"
This is from a March 19th article: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...SPGO8HQH7H1.DTL I guess Cruz learned a cut fastball and it's helping him dominate hitters this spring.

Red Sox claim Hee-Seop Choi off waivers
Because they signed Dougie Mient-alphabet. He has quite the future ahead of him!!! The Royals are retarded. They keep signing washed-up bums instead of playing and adding younger players.

Red Sox claim Hee-Seop Choi off waivers
The reason I'm so surprised that no other team claimed Choi is that he's only making $750,000 this season. He would be worth claiming as a backup 1B alone at that price.

Athletics sign Juan Gonzalez, not Red Sox
Pure insanity. It must be like 2000 again and every team wants to get their hands on Juan Gone.

Sox Vs. Mariners, 2:05
I think you can actually disable signatures and avatars in your profile if you don't want to see them. Threads do get a bit tough to read with big ones.

Bruce Levine: "Sox interested in Juan Cruz"
Basically mid-level prospects, not a top prospect.
