  1. Yeah, the Florida Marlins sure did, huh?
  2. The problem is they want you spend your money first. And that is a rediculous way to run a company. For example: If I own a car company and I want to make a better, faster car, I don't raise the price on last year's model so I can afford to do the research and engineering on next year's model. I do all that first, then producer the car, then charge the consumer more. The Sox are doing everything backwards.
  3. I didn't say that. Good come back though, Steff!
  4. Don't rub anything of mine with your hand.
  5. There. I understand your points about the Sox doing a lot more for families than other clubs and I agree with you 100%! I'm just tired of them saying, "We need more fans to make more money to sign better players." Then they raise the prices over and over and over again and after disappointing season after disappointing season. If I were the Sox I'd keep the prices where the were, thereby keeping the fans you already have and not taking a chance at pissing them off, and run more promotions. Like "Penny Beer Night" perhaps.
  6. I'm one of those "Monday night" fans. I can't possibly afford to buy season tickets, or even a partial package. I go when I can - Opening Day, Mondays, some Tuesdays, and when tickets fall into my hands, and a full price game here and there. (And I have to drive to the games) It's harder for me to get to those full price games each year as they raise prices. Does that make me less of a fan because I can't go 40-50 times a year?
  7. Exactly! With all due respect, Steff, I think you're flat out wrong. I think when your fan base is a bunch of white collar, business suit types, like the Bulls and Cubs, you can rasie the prices and they'll still come. But, when your fan base is blue collar, working stiff types, like I believe the Sox' is, pricing is everything! Maybe not getting them out ther once, but getting them back the second, third and fourth times. And anyway, it matters to ME!
  8. What the hell is wrong with this organization? In fact, what the hell is wrong with every organization in this entire city? It's like they hate to win, hate to make money, hate to make people happy. Don't they realize? You lower prices, you get more customers, you make more profit! It's that simple. It's the same reason places like FAO Schwartz are going bankrupt and Wal-Mart and Target are raking in the dough! Drop prices on tickets! Raise 'em on jerseys and hats and such. We won't notice that as much, and we can blame it on the manufacturer! I get it, why can't they?

  10. So, because I appreciate my tax cut I'm evil and support terrorism? Give me a break! In that sense, then why worry about "global climate change" if we're all going to be dead?
  11. Thank you! How come it's always the U.S.'s fault? I'm sick and tired of it! We do more than any other country to curb polution and to advance ways of desposing of waste, and still take s*** from not only the rest of the world, but people from within as well.
  12. Yes, I do. But, that guy was a immigrant from Pennsylvania, wasn't he?
  13. I'm sure that your was in fact a mistake and was supposed to be a . Please show your former Vice President a little more respect.
  14. I think it still is the murder capital. This is just "Most Dangerous." Don't get too disappointed. Mayor Scott King is doing a wonderful job! At least they have a CBA team and a minor league baseball team and a $4.5 million stadium.
  15. called Depauw? You need to get out, buddy. I know where Depauw is, and I'm sue Southsider does as well. Right on US 231. Dan Quayle went there. Interested in High School basketball? That's where I learn most of geography of Indiana. PS This story was just on Fox News. 400 Times!
  16. was The 400th time's the charm, huh?
  17. It had to be Indiana, didn't it? Damn it!
  18. Kyoto was way too lobsided. It punished the U.S. more than anyuone else. Yes, we produce 40%? of the world's polution, but we produce 80%? of the world's goods. It stands to reason that we'll polute more than say...Argetina or Italy.
