    QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 12, 2006 -> 08:22 AM) [crickets] [tumbleweeds] [paintdries] [washeshair] [grassgrows] [ozziegoestosensitivityclasses] [cubsplayoffchances] Stop it! "Oh Sherry" was one of the first ones I watched...dick!
  5. QUOTE(chiguy79 @ Jul 12, 2006 -> 08:18 PM) Actually that is not true. You pay in the state where the income was earned so on road games you could be charged by that state. Shaq paid something like $1mm to another state. States have wisened up to this and charge visiting teams players. Really? I've never heard that. Freakin' pols!
  6. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 12, 2006 -> 11:03 PM) We don't need ESPN to tell us we have a great team. Amen. Bravo!

    I love you, Steff!
  8. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 11, 2006 -> 10:24 AM) And I do know now to score bowling as well I figured you would, but how many people do anymore?
  9. QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 10, 2006 -> 03:58 PM) I'm with you there. Keeping score never held my interest. I will keep score for my geek friends when they need a bathroom break (southsider and wilkins - LMAO). But I don't keep score for me. SS keeps score? Why am I not surprised? QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 11, 2006 -> 09:51 AM) :finger Someone has to keep tradition alive. I was honestly shocked to find out this year that I was one of three people on my softball team that could keep score (there is one guy older than me, and the rest are younger). I think that's about as many as we have. I've been teaching one kid that really wants to learn, though. How many people still know how to keep score bowling?
  10. "Woke up at 11." "Woke up at 12:30" "Woke up before noon" No wonder we're so fat and so far behind every other country in the world! We're a bunch of lazy s***s!
  11. Nobody went to church? You're all going to hell! I woke up at 7:00 - went to mass. Came home and got ready for softball. We got spanked in both games. Drank our sorrows away and watched most of the Sox game at "The Pub" (Our sponsor). Came home around the 8th and listened to the rest while pushing my daughters on the swingset.
  12. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jul 10, 2006 -> 10:51 AM) Manny's done a lot of good for the game of baseball, and is the most popular player in the game. If you don't like him, that's fine. Please list the "good" things he's done for baseball. Not disagreeing. Just curious.

    Grand Slams

    QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 12:50 PM) I don't listen to the radio very often, but it seems that all Farmer ever talks about is homers. So, it's not surprising that when there's actually a homer, he said something about it before it happened. Ding, ding, ding! "This guy can go yard, folks. His next one will be his 3rd."
  14. Farmer said the slam last night was the Sox' 7th. I was waiting for him to tell me what the team record was. He never did. I looked it up this morning: The team record is 8 in 1996 and 2002. The most by a team: AL: Oakland 2000 - 14 NL: Atlanta 1997 - 12 St. Louis 2000 - 12
  15. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 11:46 AM) That's Roberto Jenks.
  16. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 10:21 AM) of course, he's Dominican. Bobby Jenks is Dominican? Huh. Who knew.
  17. QUOTE(S720 @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 09:48 AM) Continue showing your support for AJ! No matter how tired your fingers feel, keep on voting for AJ until the poll is closed. Man, there are someone on the ESPN Message Board going from team to team to rally everyone to vote for Liriano instead of AJ. Those damned jealous Cubs or Twins fans! We will help AJ Liriano out of the Allstar spot! NONONONO!!! We can NOT relax. Continue punching away at your keyboard to vote for AJ. Green is sarcasm.
  18. Cute. Man, Brooks is soooo much better.
  19. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 06:17 AM) OMFG, AJ'S LEADIN'!!!!!! No article, just a notice on MLB.com indicating Pierzynski overtook Liriano. Update this thread's title. Keep those votes coming in support of AJ. Good news. I can finally relax.
  20. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 01:54 PM) We as Sox/AL fans can't really go wrong if it is Liriano or AJ. If it AJ, we show MLB that the White Sox following is loud. On the other hand, Liriano is lights out and we get homefield in the WS! =) I don't want home field advantage. I want the Sox to win the World Series at home!
  21. Wow! Pretty bad. Blazing Saddles? History of the Worl Part 1? :headshake
  22. They also kept showing the punch from the series at the Cell with the tag line - things almost get heated again... or something like that. My wife wasn't able to watch the game and saw that adn asked if there was another fight. ESPN - Bah!
