    Chicago Marathon

Nice job. The finish is the best. Brings a tear to my eye every time I watch it. People saying screw their time so they can help carry someone across the line and stuff like that is truely inspiring.

  4. OK, let me get this straight... the church is on Wentworth between 37th and Pershing? Or 37th and the park? You enter the lot on Wentworth?
  5. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:13 AM) For anyone without a pass, i suggest using church parking, which is right off wentworth, between 35th and 37th. It was open 3 hours before the game on Tuesday, and if you are there at least 2 hours before the game, you'll probly get in. You can tailgate in there as well. It's also very easy to get out of there and on to 94. Thank you. That's the lot across the street from the E lot?
  6. QUOTE(harwar @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 09:41 AM) I know we get the choice of which game we want to watch(fox or fx)but why broadcast both games at the same time? I wonder if anyone knows why fox doesn't broadcast a day game and a night game. Maybe its the same answer i get to everything from world domination to my local grocery bill .. its all about the money. You answered your own question.

    Chicago Marathon

QUOTE(Stocking @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 09:28 AM) Running my first marathon sunday, was wondering if anyone else is or has? what should i expect in terms of transportation and meeting up with friends and family? I've never ran it, but have had quite a few friends run it. Have your friends / family meet you by Buckingham fountain. That's where everybody meets. The have signs out there with letters on them (A-C ; D-F) Go to whatever letter your last name starts with. Another thing - at the start of the race - make sure your family is on the west side of Columbus, otherwise they won't be able to cross for a long time.
  8. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 08:19 AM) Awesome! I loved it when he and his brother were on Star Trek. . . Awesome!
  9. Is that you in your avatar?
  10. QUOTE(chisox72 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 08:04 AM) I hate to say it folks, but I would rather listen to Santo's dumbass than Mike North. oooooooooooooo, that's a tough one. I'd have to think about that for a while,
  11. If you go with the "crapping in the pants" thing don't forget "the walk."
  12. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 07:08 AM) "I just crapped in my pants". That would work. His boss would kick him out of the office!
  13. I wouldn't mind Lyons, but please, God, no North!

    Neuticles

You know, I heard this on the radio this morning and thought, "WTF?" This is old news. I heard about this on Mancow 6 years ago. He had the inventor on and everything.

    Hawk

QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 09:44 PM) I occasionally disappear for an inning or so to take a dump. Is that Hawk enough for you?
  18. QUOTE(JoshPR @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) Aren't the Oak bridge boys (Or somethign like that there called) Sox fans? Oh my! Am I that old? :headshake
  19. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:55 AM) I still can't tell if you keep forgetting green with that... I'm telling you, she's sneaky hot!
  20. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:49 AM) What about Joan Cusack? Doesn't she hawk some cell phone company, too? She's HOT!
  21. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 09:41 AM) Jerry Springer is a Yankee fan. Shouldn't he be a Reds fan? Being the Mayor of Cincinnati and all.
  22. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 09:04 AM) I stood up silent, fist raised high in the air as the ball left his bat. I soaked in the crowd noise around me at the Cell!! Interesting story though, from the first night. I was driving home from work (I couldn't go to the first game) and listening to the game on my car radio. I was at a stop light on Plainfield Rd and when Scotty hit his 3 run shot I pumped my fist and yelled: YEAH! Funny thing was five other cars around me did the same thing! Everyone turned around and acknowledged each other. Sox fans uniting, even at a stop light. Cool! I high-fived everyone I was watching the game with, including my 9-month old daughter. We watched the game in my Buddy's garage that's made into a bar and we were sitting in different spots than from Tuesday's game. Before the bottom of the 5th someone brought up that fact, so we switched - the Sox put up a 5 spot. Awesome!
  23. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 08:37 AM) I don't like Wendt. He was funny as Norm, but he has always come across as a jerk in interviews. A guy I know works as the doorman at the Hyatt downtown and he said Wendt is a big dickhead.
