  1. I could have swore I read somewhere the other day that Oswalt would deny trades to the White Sox or Tigers.
  2. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 04:09 PM) I enjoy watching soccer, but wow is the diving just disgraceful by some off the top international teams. There really needs to be more officials on the pitch to prevent that bulls*** from occurring and I don't see any legitimate reason not to add more officials. Having them on the lines doesn't help much, and having them on the pitch only takes up space. Don't expect any significant changes in soccer any time soon.
  3. Ya, I know we are FAR away from winning an AL Pennant, but I enjoyed being laughed at. Hopefully people realize it's a loooooong season. And even at this point, the White Sox can finish 15 games up and win the division by a mile, or finish in 4th.
  4. I like the Korver signing, not the top choice but a nice signing. They still have some more work.
  5. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 02:06 AM) Id rather sign Morrow than Brewer, but other than that I dig it. I wish somehow we could find a way to trade for Carmelo, convince Nuggets Deng and Johnson or whatever is better than nothing. I don't think there's any way you can add Richardson, Morrow, Asik, and one of Livingston/Ridnour with the amount of money we have.
  6. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 02:05 AM) Actually now that I think about it, Morrow might not be matched, though this is GS. Totally forgot they traded and signed David Lee for 80 million. They'll match anything reasonable, especially since Azubuike is going to NY too.
  7. QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 01:58 AM) I thought the Suns were cutting back big time though. Isn't that the reason that Steve Kerr left as GM? I read that they wanted to extend him - but at a significantly discounted salary. He said, "No, thanks." and went back to broadcasting. If they were cutting back, that's even better for the Bulls if they wanted to acquire him. I'm saying that during the regular season, no one was looking to add contracts that were going past the 09-10 season. Now that the top free agents have signed, the teams who missed out have money to acquire those guys who were previously unwanted.
  8. Here's what I'd like to see: Trade whatever for Richardson, if you can get him for a trade exception or something, wonderful. Sign Brewer to be your backup shooting guard. Sign Livingston or Ridnour to be your backup PG and fill out the last 3-5 spots with minimum guys from the summer league team. Rose Richardson Deng Boozer Noah Brewer Gibson Ridnour/Livingston Asik Johnson MIN MIN
  9. QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 01:53 AM) Phoenix tried to trade him last year due to the money he makes. It's a lot different during a season than in the off season where a lot of teams have a lot of money. With the cap set at 58.04, the Bulls have somewhere between 18 and 19 million to play with.
  10. QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 01:52 AM) You have to admit that the Bulls are severely lacking in quality long range shooters. Morrow might be affordable. Who knows? Ok, but if you sign him and give him significant minutes, don't complain about the lack of defense. Everyone wants to point out flaws on all the available names, but everyone seems to gush about Morrow as if he is a complete player.
  11. QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 01:50 AM) How will bringing over Asik work? I know we own his rights, but how exactly would his contract be set up? Same as any other contract, just need to come to an agreement. He's essentially a free agent but the Bulls are the only team that can sign him. They have exclusive rights to him. He's already been working out with the team some at the Berto Center.
  12. QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 01:48 AM) Ever since fathom mentioned Morrow, I've been intrigued by him. He seems like he would be a good fit with Rose. Rose penetrates, kicks it out to Morrow for a three. He hit like 48% of his 3's last year. But if you're going to talk about people who do nothing but jack up shots........
  13. I actually like the idea of Jason Richardson, and I'd embrace it. 1 year left and relatively affordable especially with the cap room we have. Good outside shooter, athletic, adequate defensively. And it still leaves you with some money to add Asik and maybe another backup guard.
  14. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 01:41 AM) Give me J-Rich anyday if I had to choose. Boozer and Rose are enough for guys who suck at defense (though I think Rose can and will improve). Redd is on another level of suck despite him chuckling a ton of shots and making them at a decent rate. Like I've been saying, chances are you're not going to find a stud SG who is good on both ends of the court, so you have to make do. Thats why I liked the idea of Morrow and Brewer splitting time.
  15. QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 01:39 AM) I would love to see some highlight reel DRose-Richardson alley-oops this coming season. I've been trying to find contract info on JRich, but haven't found anything so far. One more year in Phoenix at 14.4 million.
  16. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 01:37 AM) As long as Redd is healthy, either of those would be absolutely perfect fits. I'd absolutely adore the addition of Michael Redd, but monetarily, it's hard to see that working out unless he's your only big addition and you fill out the roster with minimum guys. Then you'd hope to use his expiring deal next yr for a free agent, or re-sign him for a much lower price. I've been wanting the Bulls to trade for Redd for quite some time. Rose/Redd/Deng/Boozer/Noah is DAMN good if Boozer and Redd stay healthy.
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 01:35 AM) All bets are off after last night's debacle. Very true. I just think that those bridges have been burnt.
  18. Also, of SG's possibly available for trade, Jason Richardson or Michael Redd make the most sense. Redd also has 1 yr left at 18.3 million or so. Also, I don't see Shaq going to Miami.
  19. Some tidbits: The WAS/CHI deal is official. Hinrich and rights to Seraphin for the rights to Vladimir Veremeenko. I was at the Berto Center today. Noah seemed very confident and definitely cemented himself as one of my favorite players of all time. He said he loved the team right now and was excited to play with Boozer. He said the Bulls have some nice pieces and they're going to fight. He also sarcastically said that he was flattered that Lebron mentioned him in the special and that it made his day. Also joked that the Bulls front office was crying after the decision. He's really a great interview. Meyers and Adams left the Berto without commenting.
  20. QUOTE (RME JICO @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 09:59 PM) Jordan was beyond stats and rings. He took over games. I have never seen Queen James do that. I'm still only on page 384, but I COULD NOT let this get by. http://www.nba.com/playoffs2007/news/lebro...oric_night.html And that's only one of many.
  21. I've come to the conclusion I'd be ecstatic if Lebron came to the Bulls, don't care if its CLE, NY, NJ, and upset/disappointed if he goes to MIA.
  22. As of noon ET today, no takers on Beasley. http://proxy.espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/pos...f-beasley-trade But a possible 4-way could be in the works? I don't get why any team in the NBA would be willing to help them out right now.
  23. About 7 hours and 7 minutes before it's all over.
  24. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 01:01 PM) I REMAIN THE ONLY ONE WITH WITH STRONG HOPE (and rowand). Believe people I think we're still in the picture. I have hope, but not a lot.
  25. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 12:58 PM) The only thing I have ever claimed to know 100% is that LeBron James isn't going to be D-Wade's sidekick. I made the mistake of thinkign WWW was all-knowing. He is not. I warned you not to get too confident and excited. Now you're telling others what I've told you since the beginning, don't believe anything until official announcements are made.
