  1. I know its been reported and all, but I think Lebron is down to Cleveland, Miami, and New York, in that order.
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 11:48 AM) Denial is a terrible thing. WE ARE NOT GETTING LEBRON! It's 41-41 for the Bulls for the next 5 years. Seriously, with the overreactions. The Bulls were the 5th seed and a possible 50 win team last year before Noah and Rose got banged up towards the end of the season. If you add Boozer alone, we're a 50 win team.
  3. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 11:47 AM) And now everyone's turning on Bosh. This is just 2000-2001 all over again after the Magic signed Grant Hill and Tracy McGrady and the Bulls ended up with Eddie Robinson. Not necessary to go there.
  4. Not gonna lie, Bosh's reaction to that question surely makes it seem like Lebron's going to Miami.
  5. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 11:42 AM) Bosh is not a top 10 guy. Yes he is.
  6. Well, this sucks. But my goodness, some epic overreactions in this thread.
  7. I don't see any way Lebron leaves Cleveland now with this 1 hour special. All the twitter/website crap is just him eating up all the attention he can get. Doesn't mean he's moving on. Now, change gears and work on Wade, Bosh, and Boozer. And consider me happy as s*** that VDN got a job. Good for him. I'll definitely be rooting for him.
  8. f***in a, I just want some announcements already. The anticipation is just frustrating.
  9. Chris Bosh tweeting it is a GREAT day either means he's on the verge of something OR he's just being an attention whore.
  10. So here's how I'm putting this together. Lebron wants to stay in Cleveland, but he doesn't want to go back with the same roster. Cleveland doesn't have any money and few valuable trade pieces. Bosh is certainly out of Toronto, but Toronto can't come to an agreement with CLE, CHI, or MIA. He's basically only attainable in a sign and trade. Wade is essentially waiting on what Bosh and Lebron do. If Bosh or Lebron don't go to Miami, Wade is gone. The Bulls are probably waiting on Lebron instead of going all out for the Bosh/Wade duo, They probably have a deal on the table moving Deng but won't pill the trigger before they get a commit.
  11. http://twitter.com/chrisbosh/status/17902174618 Twitter makes me want to kill myself.
  12. Wow, I was bracing myself for Joe Johnson and Carlos Boozer. Now we might be stuck with one of Boozer or Lee only.
  13. Netherlands looking damn good. NED/GER would be the best final matchup I'd think.
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 12:43 AM) Agreed on the jumper (like I said, Wade wasn't a very good jump shooter when he was younger either, and it's just generally something you can improve on with work). I'm not sure Derrick Rose can become the best player in the NBA though, that's a bit of a stretch. He could move into the top 5, maybe even sneak into the top 3 in the coming years though. Well, I said potential. Its probably a stretch but it certainly wouldn't surprise me. If he keeps developing the outside game, it'll open him up that much more. He's got incredible speed, immense strength for a point guard, and finishes at the rim with the best of them. If he becomes consistent outside, it will make him that much more dangerous attacking the hoop. Not to mention he has a knack for where his teammates are on the court. With Kobe on the decline and Wade seemingly at the back end of his prime, he'll have to compete with the likes of Lebron, Melo, Durant, Williams.
  15. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 12:46 AM) I don't know what you guys have been watching, but Rose has never struck me as anywhere near the caliber of scorer as Wade is. Just my personal opinion. I don't think he has that cutthroat attitude (yet) for it. It's something that every elite player has to have. The aggressiveness and desire to absolutely whatever is necessary. Thats why I get really excited when Derrick shows a lot of emotion and screams and yells and such. He's a pretty quiet guy and if he gets the killer instinct to just take over games at will, there aren't many people that could slow him down.

    Carlossal?

    .936 OPS in June.
  17. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 10:50 PM) Rose will never be able to do that. Wow, that statement really irks the hell out of me. He's 21 years old and has gotten better exponentially in every facet of his game. He was a mediocre-to-bad mid-range shooter when entering the league and in the stretch run last year, he was absolutely lethal. His jumper is MUCH improved and there has been lots of reports about him putting up tons and tons of jumpers (including 3's) all summer to try and improve even more. Writing him off this early is an absolute injustice to his work ethic. If he keeps his same attitude and demeanor, he has the potential to be the best player in the NBA. Seriously.
  18. Throw right, switch-hit bat. Though I went all-righty in high school. But I do just about everything in life with my right hand. I also golf right handed. My left hand is just retarded. Couldn't throw something lefty to save my life.
  19. Bucher, again, being opinionated. "As for Chi hysteria over possibly no LBJ/Wade: you have a superstar, DRose. He needs a Robin + an Alfred, not a Batman. He's had neither."
  20. Ric Bucher should consider reporting and not giving his opinion. For those saying Chi can S&T for 1 and sign other outright: forget it. Neither Bosh nor Wade is taking less than 6 yr, $120m. Nor wd you. 1 minute ago via web Wade/Bosh to Chi ignores major issue: doing 2 S&Ts. Someone would have to take Deng's deal. No one will. Tor wants picks/trade exception. 9 minutes ago via web
  21. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 06:36 PM) Havent readthat, all ive seen is that multiple meetings pointing to desperation on knicks part, and that knicks are believed to be far down on james list, nets bulls cavs is what my thoughts were Ya, I think the consensus was that they were the top 3, but this is basically saying now that it is the only 3.
  22. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 06:30 PM) Thats been the general consensus since a couple days ago hasnt it? Not really. Lots of reports about "Knicks gaining momentum."
  23. http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wiretap_a...ns_final_three/ Nets, Cavs, Bulls final 3 for Lebron.
  24. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 06:05 PM) I'd rather have Boozer and Noah than Bosh and a fill-in. Depends on what the "fill-in" is. They'd have a lot of cap room to add something legit in the backcourt. However, I think it's moot. They won't deal Noah for Bosh unless they know Lebron or Wade is coming as well.
