  1. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 12:55 PM) Well I edited it just in case some douche would pretty much post the identical thing mentioned but "worded differently." Love you too.
  2. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 12:53 PM) I stopped reading when that article said "my sources." It actually read "a source of mine."
  3. Haywood's deal is 6 yrs, 55 mil, not 5.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 12:51 PM) LOL so yeah, a 3rd or 4th hand source. Believe nothing. I believe Steve.
  5. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 12:47 PM) Where is that from? http://dimemag.com/2010/07/dime-exclusive-...rcent-new-york/
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 12:44 PM) We'd need a shooter, not a stopper. Wow, I've said it like 4 times. Morrow and Brewer would basically be splitting time depending on matchups. Morrow is your shooter, Brewer is your defender.
  7. Boozer apparently told people Lebron is 50/50 right now between NY and MIA.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 12:42 PM) You need someone though that can hit a jump shot outside of 18 feet. Clogging up the lane would be awful with Rose as the pg. And how exactly does a SG like Brewer clog up the lane?
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 12:42 PM) You need someone though that can hit a jump shot outside of 18 feet. Clogging up the lane would be awful with Rose as the pg. Morrow coming off the bench. It'd basically be a matchup platoon.
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 12:40 PM) Brewer can't shoot. No thank you. He'd be starting for defense and athleticism and size.
  11. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 12:34 PM) I'd personally like to sign a couple guys. A shooter (Redick/Korver/Morrow), a big guard (Brewer/Childress), and another big man (Asik?). I agree. I think Brewer as a starting SG, with Morrow, Gibson, Asik, Johnson coming off the bench would be very. All they'd need would be a backup point guard.
  12. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 12:04 PM) Bosh has played in the East against inferior competition, sure they have different types of game, but Boozer is no slouch and has done it against the best competition in the West And he's got great playoff numbers. People would value them a lot closer if Boozer could stay healthy and was a bit younger. But at the same time, Boozer had DWill, Bosh had no one really.
  13. QUOTE (T R U @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:52 AM) Hes won no titles because hes been ALONE.. that's the point here, he wont be alone he will be with Wade and Bosh.. LeBron by himself is good enough for 60+ wins.. now add Wade and Bosh to that team.. Actually, Lebron by himself is good enough for 26 wins per statisticians.
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:50 AM) Wouldn't they get one if they went over the cap? The Heat that is. No, its awarded to you when the moratorium is over. The Heat are under the cap. They have no MLE this year.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:49 AM) Am I the only one that thinks in 2-3 years, Rose will be better than Wade? I agree with you.
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:49 AM) How much is the MLE worth again? 5.something. And neither the Bulls nor Heat have one.
  17. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:40 AM) How many do the Bulls have again? Rose Deng Noah Gibson Boozer James Johnson cap space So that'd be only 6, with no starting-caliber shooting guard at the moment. Rose/Deng/Boozer/Noah > Wade/Bosh/Chalmers/Beasley QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:40 AM) Carlos Boozer might be the Bulls THIRD best player. No.
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:37 AM) If three of them are Lebron, Bosh, and Wade, then they clearly are. The key for them is finding (very) cheap role players that fit, because that's what they need to be better than the top few teams in the league. He said that PRE-LEBRON (meaning Wade, Bosh, Chalmers and Beasley) that the Heat are better than the Bulls.
  19. QUOTE (T R U @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:30 AM) The Bulls aren't any closer to a title than they were last season.. Boozer is a nice player and all, but they aint gettin to the finals anytime soon as teams like Orlando, Miami, and Boston are still better than them even without knowing where LeBron is going.. you might add Cleveland or New York to that list too, who knows until tonight.. Why does everyone assume its just going to be LeBron, Wade, Bosh and crap? There will be some people who will find a way to get on that team to get themselves a ring.. its not going to be the Bigger 3 and then a handful of guys from off the street.. Miami with 4 players is better than the Bulls?
  20. IraHeatBeat says that as of noon, the Heat have no idea of Lebron's intentions.
  21. QUOTE (T R U @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:26 AM) Nah, ide definitely say its the people who are sour that the Bulls didn't get anything out of this offseason and don't want to see LeBron and Co. own the league for the foreseeable future.. Except the Bulls DID get something that improved their team quite a bit. And also because it's factual. Miami will be really, REALLY good with the big 3. But they won't coast to 5 straight titles. You NEED role players. They literally have NONE. And like someone else mentioned, those Boston teams were some of the best defensive teams.
  22. Available guards in case we miss out on Lebron: Anthony Morrow JJ Redick Matt Barnes Ronnie Brewer Luther Head Josh Howard Roger Mason Mike Miller Michael Redd (1 yr left on deal, 18.3 mil) Quinton Ross
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 10:58 AM) from? The Nets. They're going after Tyrus Thomas next.
  24. My last prediction: Lebron to the Heat. And this is the main reason why... http://twitter.com/chrisbosh/status/17553214058 I think it's been planned for some time now, just needed the details to be ironed out.
  25. I really have no idea what to believe anymore. These reports of Lebron to Miami seem a bit more legitimate, but just seems like a very awkward time to be released. Lebron has been so quiet about everything but all of the sudden, 18 hours before the announcement, everyone knows he's going to the Heat? Like I've told a couple others, there are 2 things giving me hope still for the Bulls: 1. The Bulls have been silent about everything. Lebron has been silent about everything. 2. Boozer was signed VERY quickly and never gave the Nets a chance to match. And he didn't get top dollar, instead leaving enough to ensure that another max contract could be afforded.
