  1. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 7, 2009 -> 03:59 PM) And he's been terrible in the outfield. His UZR/150 in the OF over the years is a -6.4. Not good. I'd rather stick him at 3B. So he's been terrible in the OF but you want him in LF? Either way, every indication from the White Sox is that Beckham will be a 3B and for a long time. With that said, I wouldn't mind Figgins/Ramirez/Beckham/Konerko around the infield.
  2. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 7, 2009 -> 03:54 PM) Rios would be the best defensive outfielder on the team if we get him. You definitely stick him in center. I don't think Figgins can play CF. He's played left before, if I remember correctly. Figgins has played 244 career games in CF compared to 36 in LF and 27 in RF.
  3. You know, I wouldn't mind this if we could afford him, but it makes far more sense for next season than it would for this season. You're obviously not going to sit Pods. You're not going to sit Dye, Thome or Quentin either. Ozzie would have to work his magic and in order to have Rios play every day, one of CQ, Dye, and Thome would have to sit. And then you det yourself up well for next year if you want Rios in LF and Quentin in RF, with one of Thome/Dye DHing. Then you go an get Figgins for CF and you've got yourself a nice lineup. Or you could even keep Pods and keep him in LF with Rios in CF... Pods LF Beckham 3B Quentin RF Dye/Thome DH Konerko 1B Pierzynski C Rios CF Ramirez SS Getz 2B or Figgins CF Beckham 3B Quentin RF Dye/Thome DH Konerko 1B Pierzysnki C Rios LF Ramirez SS Getz 2B
  4. I'm beginning to feel that SoxTalk is concerned about every player no matter how hard they are hitting the ball. When do we get the "Gordon Beckham isn't hitting .400" thread?
  5. Sox's lineup: Podsednik cf, Beckham 3b, Dye rf, Thome dh, Konerko 1b, A.J. c, Quentin lf, Ramirez ss, Nix 2b, Buehrle p.
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 6, 2009 -> 03:46 PM) I'll drink out of your ass, Ace. WTF.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 6, 2009 -> 02:59 PM) where was the 3-1 pitch Pods popped up?? Ball or strike? Right down the middle.
  8. Come on, keep it going for Beckham.
  9. Come on, let's be patient and string together some hits.
  10. QUOTE (Cochise @ Aug 6, 2009 -> 02:48 PM) If we lose one game its doom and gloom, season over. Oh, you mean like what you just did in your previous post?
  11. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 6, 2009 -> 02:47 PM) score and whats going on? Middle of the 6th, 7-4 Angels.
  12. QUOTE (Cochise @ Aug 6, 2009 -> 02:44 PM) Santana has thrown 18 pitches in the last 2 innings. 6 up 6 down. I hate this team. At least this game is bringing us back to earth. A team that plays defense as poorly as we do does not do well in the playoffs. Please. It's one game. Don't start that again.
  13. Nice job guys, 8 in a row retired by Santana and he has NOTHING.
  14. Umpiring has been horrible this season. Just pathetic.
  15. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Aug 6, 2009 -> 02:13 PM) Jermaine nearly impaled himself on a railing An average RF probably catches that.
  16. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Aug 6, 2009 -> 02:09 PM) Nix should be standing on 1st right now but he overthought it the whole way Nix should be sitting on the bench right now with his 2nd HR of the day and 7 RBI under his belt.
  17. Unbelievable. We should have score 4 that inning. You CANNOT go up there expecting to walk, otherwise you stare at hanging breaking balls right down the middle. And swinging at the first pitch against him!!?!? Wake the f*** up guys.
  18. A breaking ball RIGHT DOWN THE PIPE. And he stares at it.
  19. Santana WANTS to walk in 10 runs. Let him do it!
