Can someone elaborate on what happened and what is currently going on?

QUOTE (danman31 @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 01:08 PM) Salmons is freaking terrible. I'm so sick of his Larry Hughes caliber shot selection. What the....that's blasphemy.

Ya, I'm a frequent cusser.

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Apr 16, 2009 -> 02:20 AM) No offense, but that's hardly credible. I could really care less if you believe me or not, but they are direct connections to the actual project and someone who attends every committee meeting, so you don't have to believe me, but ya.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 16, 2009 -> 12:15 AM) Shades of 2007 when they were a win away against an average Nets (although they're like 1-58 in NJ since the dynasty ended) team from a #2 seed and a free pass to the conference finals. Boston in 5. Yup, we ended up falling to 5, where we soon after trounced the defending champion Miami Heat 4-0 in the first round. No one wanted to face Miami that year after coming off a championship, and now no one wants to face Boston coming off a championship. Coincidence? We'll see.

As a pitcher, I'm the right handed version of a pre-SF Barry Zito. Good fastball but nothing overpowering, good command of the strike zone, good movement, great curveball. As a hitter, JD sounds about exact. Line driver hitter with good average and power, mostly hitting right up the middle, but can go opposite field a lot. I'd draw a lot more walks than JD however. And I'm 6'6, 235, so not much speed. I played LF a lot, then a lot of 1B/3B, and then exclusively a pitcher. I was best defensively at 1B.

QUOTE (Ron @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 11:18 PM) Bulls are losing in 5. I can see them getting 1 win fueled by the UC home crowd. But Boston is too talented, too experienced. I don't/didn't have great expectations for the Bulls in the playoffs anyway. Right now, the main concern should be to get Rose as much experience as possible in the post-season and maybe eek out a win or two. If things go really well, maybe make this a series.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 05:09 PM) Why isn't it looking too well? Not doubting you, but I haven't heard any news. I've got some connections to people working on it. Private funding seems to be a pretty big issue, while Rio and Tokyo are looking good right now.

Well that kinda sucks.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 07:40 PM) Maybe they know more about Garnett's health than they've let on? Well, Linton Johnson is on the court...so probably.

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 07:39 PM) Bulls playing like they want "it". And when I say "it", I mean the 7 seed. We don't like playing defense against the Raptors.

Ronaldo's goal today for ManU was incredible. A 35 yard strike to seal ManU's spot in the CL semifinals.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 03:44 PM) What wingman in the league doesn't hoist up questionable shots in each game? Kobe hoists up a ton of them, including against 3 or sometimes even 4 a couple of feet from the 3 point line. If you make them, no one says anything which Ben has a knack for hitting a ton of them which is why he was going to be asked for the game of Horse or Geico, but they wanted the young stars of the league. Ben is one of the most efficient scorers in the league. If he takes a 3 with 3 guys in his face like he did in that Miami game earlier this year, and is hitting them, then go ahead. I've seen Ben hit alot more than he misses. You're also the biggest Ben Gordon fan on the planet, so it's taken with a grain of salt. However, I agree with you for the most part.

FWIW, this isn't looking too good for Chicago.

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 12:03 PM) Somebody in Bristol, CT thinks Chicago is going to get the Olympics. It's not looking good right now.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 03:35 PM) Last time I checked which was about a month ago, Ben Gordon had the second least FGA for anyone in the top 20 in scoring behind Dwight Howard, so I don't get this notion that Ben Gordon is a ballhog or has to hoist up shots with no abandon when in reality, he actually doesn't do so. The numbers agree, but you and everyone else knows damn well he forces up a lot of stupid shots in 4th quarters. With that said, I think we really need to re-sign Gordon. Hopefully he doesn't ask for more than he's worth, which is likely though. I really have no faith left in Deng, and watching Rose//Gordon/Salmons together of late has really swayed my opinion. Re-sign Gordon, let Salmons take over at SF full time, and try to deal Deng/picks or Deng/Noah for a legit big man.

QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 01:41 PM) Who else LOVES Jemele Hill as much as I do? http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?page=ROY-0809 Thats not as horrible as all of Time Legler's collective picks. Lebron for DPOY would be the biggest joke in NBA history. Wow, the guy makes some athletic blindside/chase-down block, give him a f***ing award.
