QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ May 6, 2009 -> 11:19 AM) Rose won't be a top 5 player ever with his lack of a jumper and non-existant defense. With that said, Jordan sucked his rookie year at defense. LeBron was mediocre, only because of his body at defense. BTW, Asik is the roxorz! Except for block shots, get steals and rebound. All his blocks come from help defense. I still don't know how he get's steals. And he is not a very good rebounder. Most of boards come from, yes, you guessed it, out-jumping people. Like I said earlier, he doesn't EVER take over games on the glass, Noah can. See: Thomas, Tyrus - 89th best rebound rate in the NBA. And had a sizzling 9.3/40 minutes. So yeah.

I've been done for 2 weeks already. I love reading facebook statuses of people complaining about exams while I'm on a fishing trip in Wisconsin.

Sox scouts on the lookout for young OF prospects

There are tons of options available. Milledge, Dukes, Blanco, Dickerson, Willits, Ross, Byrnes, etc. It's just a matter of going out and getting players. -

If Lance Broadway and Kyle McCulloch are 1st round picks, then I'm no worse than a 3rd rounder myself. Kind of sad that we've wasted so many picks.

I hated Stacey King at first, but he has really grown on me too. I love the nicknames, I love how he makes fun of Niel Funk, I love the posterization thing they have going, and I love his knowledge which is obviously huge for a color guy. The only thing that irks me is how he tries to get ghetto sometimes. It just comes off really bad. For example, if someone makes a very contested shot, he loves to use the "put that in your mouth" or the overused "take that with you." Other than that, Stacey is the man.

I think everyone has come to the conclusion that it's just not worth it any more...thankfully. -
QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ May 5, 2009 -> 08:15 PM) Really? You mean he can be the 4th or 5th best player on a decent but not stellar team? Oh yeah! That's 2nd overall pick potential right there! 11.6 points and 4.8 rebounds! WHAT A STUD! Disclaimer: I'm aware he was drafted 4th overall, but he was traded for Aldridge, so eff that and eff him.

QUOTE (rangercal @ May 5, 2009 -> 07:21 PM) slow down now. I wouldn't go that far. What is your definition of good? Tyrus is a very good basketball player. He blocks shots, rebounds well, gets plenty of steals,is a pretty good free throw shooter and does not have a horrible overall fg%. He does make some glaring mistakes though, but less this year than ever before. So I can see further improvement on someone who is 22 years old, fills up a stat sheet and has obvious ability. I do have my doubts with him, though any team in the league would find a roster spot for Tyrus for the right price. If he can't be a major piece in a deal for Amare or Bosh, I would want to definitely keep him. I'm not saying get rid of him, and I agree, if he's not a major piece in a trade for a stud, then I wouldn't deal him, but I am just so f***ing tired of the people gushing about him. Every time he has a good game, the slurpers come out of the woodwork to tell everyone how great he is and how they were right the whole f***ing time. But the other 9 out of 10 games, they don't say a f***ing word. I'll just disagree with you on the "very good" player part. But let's break it down. You say he... - blocks shots. True, yet almost NEVER one on one. I'd venture to say that 90+ % of his blocks are on help defense. That'd not a bad thing, and I don't want to it to sound that way. It's great, but when people correlate block shots with good defender, they are incredible mistaken when it comes to Tyrus Thomas. - rebounds well. Eh. He's an ok rebounder mainly because of athleticism. He doesn't get great positioning and I don't know if I ever remember him taking over a game on the boards, where Joakim has. - gets plenty of steals. I'll give you that. I still don't really know how he does, but he does. - FT/FG%, agreed. His FT abilities really surprised me. And his jumper seemed to be on more than it was not, however, if people are going to give him 10 feet to take a jumper, but the ball on the floor (under control PLEASE) and take it to the hoop for a higher percentage shot. He can dunk on people. f***ing do it.

I really dislike the Chicago White Sox right now. Pissing me the f*** off...

Tyrus Thomas is not a good f***ing basketball player. /thread f***in a people. I don't know what makes me hate Tyrus more, his inability to be a good, consistent NBA basketball player or his ridiculous fans who think he can be Kevin Garnett with more minutes.

Rasheed Wallace has great range too. He can hit half court shots once in a while. Doesn't make him a good shooter.

It's f***ing NIKOLA. Not Nikolai.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 1, 2009 -> 03:27 PM) Here is why its Survivorman. Both of them are hit with the same situation, they are out of water in the desert. 1.) Les makes a solar still. Digs a hole, puts a can in the hole, pees around the cup and then puts plastic over it and then pushes the center in. The heat of the desert then evaporates the water, condensation hits, and the water drips in the cup. Les then drinks a nice cup of water. 2.) Bear of course has the same situation. He does 2 things. In the first situation, he pees in his canteen and then drinks it. Nothing is refreshing like a warm glass of piss. Sure thats an awesome idea. Then of course not to be outdone. He in a further episode, squeezes water out of some animals crap.

QUOTE (danman31 @ May 1, 2009 -> 03:55 PM) I only compared their shot selection and I stand by that. Salmons doesn't pass the ball. It's just that his shot goes in more often than Hughes' does. Stupid argument. The level of excitement is unmatched. The round it took place in has nothing to do with that. Again, why does that matter? I don't buy that there is more at stake. One team is going home regardless. When it's this close, that's a very real possibility for either so it's not like the players would try harder if it was the finals. Jason Williams before he went to the Heat? Chris Andersen? Eric Devendorf? I'll give you Williams and Devendorf, but why Andersen? Because he's tatted up? Because he's actually an athletic white guy? The guy f***ing spikes his hair. Far from wigger.

Allen > Gordon. Period. Give me a f***ing break people.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 1, 2009 -> 02:18 PM) So does survivorman, I've read. There is a difference. Grylls films a couple hours, and goes back to a normal life. Stroud stays out there for an entire week, all by himself, having to do his own camera work as well.

I'd be really tempted to do that, but also supremely terrified. I'd probably do it.

Very simple. Yet very imperative to human existence.

A few things that need to happen in order for the Bulls to win game 7... - Rose must score 20+ points and play great defense on Rondo. - One of Salmons/Gordon must go off. - Miller/Noah/Tyrus need to outrebound Davis/Perkins/whoever. - The Bulls need to keep the crowd out of it.
