QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 4, 2008 -> 07:31 PM) Against a lefty...big time Well, against lefties, yeah, thats a different story. Olivo still has Pedro Cerrano-esque abilities against a breaking ball.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 4, 2008 -> 07:26 PM) Olivo's far and away their most dangerous hitter. Danks better start throwing his offspeed pitch for strikes. So far, he's falling off the mound a lot. Olivo over Gordon and Teahen?

QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 4, 2008 -> 01:08 AM) Funny thing is I'm only 25 and I grew up on those shows. My mom would watch the reruns on Fox, I believe, at night before bed when I was very little, and I would watch with her. I called it "the helicopter show" when I was 3 or 4 because of the opening credits. Those two will probably be in my top 5. Hell, I'm 18 and I remember watching all the Cheers re-runs many-a-times. I still love that show.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 4, 2008 -> 01:02 AM) I seriously alomost died of laughing after watching this ten times. Rejected NBA on NBA commercial: Pretty funny, but I'm not going to lie, when she exploded, it startled the hell out of me.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 11:14 PM) --How the Sox somehow won a WS? The Sox played great in the postseason that year. I'd like to see the coverage of that which was all flowery. The Sun Times columnist should write the same column every day the rest of his life. Fire Ozzie. Just write it and write it some more. I like the Trib's coverage of Ozzie better. Ozzie is Ozzie. He's a nut. Case closed. It's better than having some boring clown like Bevington. Say, what's Cito Gaston up to these days?

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 08:59 PM) After tonight, he might be around .265. Try 10 points higher. 2 weeks ago we were talking about a player who was batting under .200 and some were saying he had no business in the majors.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 06:42 PM) i love this guy - tough to find a first place coach thinking about packing it in. He hates losing and knows this team is better than its playing. Agreed 100%. I'm sure most others will just call him a drama queen and ask for his head.

Sunny by my house now, 15 minutes from the park. Blue skies too. EDIT (4:26 PM): Now it's overcast.

$150 checks from your school are awesome.

QUOTE (jackie hayes @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 12:39 PM) For next year? Maybe. The Heat were morons for keeping him out on the floor as long as they did; it's possible he won't be good to go for next year. But as long as the Bulls are more careful, they would be getting a superstar along with a great scoring frontcourt guy for a great point guard and a handful of role players. HELL YES. Not that the Heat would even look at that deal -- I'm just saying, if by some cosmic generosity that offer were there, the Bulls would be tripping over themselves to get the paperwork into the NBA office as soon as possible. If I were Paxson, I'd go to Stern's apartment at 3 am to get him to sign before the Heat regained their senses. That's just how good that deal would be. The upside to possibly keeping Wade out for another season is that the Bulls add yet another lottery pick (most likely) and then are monstrously stacked when Wade returns in 2009-2010. Maybe we get lucky and land a Brandon Jennings? Jennings Wade Deng Beasley Noah Is it a total stretch? Absolutely. But it's fun to look at.

QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 08:52 AM) and he seems to pitch great against the sox, 5-2 2.88 era in 11 career starts. LOL, those are his 2008 season statistics so far.
