QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Nov 28, 2006 -> 08:26 PM) Do you eat the bear meat? We don't go to Kodiak for the Bears. We hunt for Sitka Blacktail. But, to answer your question, we eat all the meat from the deer we harvest. Pheasants as well.

Sox & Angels Talking; Crede/Garcia for Santana/Figgins
SoxFan1 replied to Steve9347's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Jenks and Danks would be an awesome combo to have simply because of their names. -
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Nov 27, 2006 -> 10:32 PM) PMs are about to come your way. Forward them to me afterwards.

We implement the thrower's 10 program for our team. It's a fantastic program for pitchers.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Nov 27, 2006 -> 09:54 PM) I remember that. I also remember you commenting about the filthy late break on my two-seamer. I also remember me making you look foolish. Not that your CLOWNFACE didn't help with that. Really, though -- your arm holding up well? You excited 'bout the next season? you aren't going to QUIT like you did in SOCCAR right? 1st off, I didn't play soccer because of work. But my arm has healed well over the off-season. I've been getting some hitting and pitching drills in lately and I've been doing some serious conditioning. I've been light on the weight-lifting/strength training though. For now, I'm trying to stick to regaining full range of motion in my legs and arms.

I choose to endorse Gregory Pratt.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Nov 27, 2006 -> 09:51 PM) (Actually, I've added several MPH to my stuff.) (But shut up. I have a filthy two seamer.) And I didn't think it was possible, but when my elbow isn't crappy, my curve is even more amazing.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Nov 27, 2006 -> 09:48 PM) Throw a few more groundballs. They're democratic. I'll strike you out with my late breaking two-seamer, foob. I like that. "Late breaking" That means it doesn't travel fast enough to reach home plate.

United has zero leg room if you're 6'5.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Nov 27, 2006 -> 09:19 PM) Thank you Whitewashed and hammerhead. I'm working out for baseball, too. Jobe exercises, mainly, though I'm going to start a modest weightlifting program to strengthen my lower body and somewhat my core. You might get the chance to face me. I'm going to be one of our starters, though, so you might not get to pitch against me (and I might get a DH). If you do, or if I face you -- I'm going to put a baseball between your shoulder blades and point to the sky. And you're going to like it. But if you face me and hit me, the second time we face, I'll take you deep. Centerfield deep. Pansy. By the way, Slav, I'd like to see you sometime relatively soon and work with you on some pitching stuff. Jeez, your rotation must suck if you're one of the starters. Sounds like a plan. We can set something up. As far as the other stuff, well, if I pitch and you hit, you're going down swinging on the curve. And if I'm hitting and you're pitching, I'm tripling into the right-center gap. Book it.

My dream off-season is now complete.

Great to hear your recovering well GP. Hopefully you'll be back to 100% soon. My knee has healed too and I'm back to voluntary workouts for baseball. I hope you play this year if you can. I'd love to strike you out in a real-game situation. Pansy.

Sox & Angels Talking; Crede/Garcia for Santana/Figgins

There would definitely have to be some cash or prospects involved for this to be done. Santana and Figgins is a bit low for Freddy and Joe. -
QUOTE(striker62704 @ Nov 27, 2006 -> 02:08 PM) SoxFan1 - I like your Pipe Dream/XBox GM. I could see it happening too. It won't happen. But it would be fantastic if it did.

Baldelli, Crawford, or Figgins please. But, for the right price, I would love to have Ray back. One of my favorite White Sox payers ever and he has still got some left in the tank. It would be fantastic to have Ray Ray back. I know Hawk would love it.

Got back last night and I got skunked. I saw a spike buck the 1st morning and passed it up because he was still young and because he offered me no clean shot. Considering all the deer seen from the stand, I remained optomositic but the weather quickly put an end to that. Highs in the 50's and 60's basically shut off deer movement during the day. That, along with hunting pressure, made it a very long weekend. That buck was the only deer I saw from Thursday morning to Sunday evening. Nonetheless, it was another great time and anytime I can be in the woods and not in Chicago is fine with me.

I'm with Jenks and LCR on this one. America will always try to find something to complain about. I do not think Michael Richards is a racist. I do think he was intoxicated and frustrated, and all the hate came out. Like LCR said, those aholes who decided to heckle him that night just chose the wrong night and he snapped. If it was a Asian, Latino, or Caucasion that was heckling him, they would have got it just as bad too. It happened to be african american and he snapped. And for reference, I am one of Carlos Mencia's biggest fans. People who don't like his comedy are the real racists. Listen to what he says, but before you do, knock down that wall you have that completely disregards and racial issues that are talked about, and really, REALLY listen to what he says. I dare anyone to tell me he's wrong.

If there is a way to get wireless with an XBox I want to know as well.

About 15 deer have been seen from my stand since Wednesday. Hopefully the deer stay active next week as well.

Not quite sure what you mean, but if it's a document on the internet, you can always put a hit counter on it.

The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) was on today. Seen it many times but it never fails to entertain me. Such a fantastic movie/book combo. A very underrated film as well.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 17, 2006 -> 05:16 PM) Yah. The coolest thing I saw was when all 3 dogs were withing a 10 foot diameter, in a circle, pointing at one bird. The guide told one to get it up and the dog damn near pulled the bird out of the air. One of the other guys in the group got that one, but the next time they did it, I hammered the bird. It was awesome. Plus it was in the mid 70s. Sounds like a great time. The weather in Michigan is supposed to be in the low to mid 40's for the next week and other hunters I've talked to have had great success and seen lots of deer. Hopefully I nail one next week.
