QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 09:59 PM) Sierra and Franco just won't retire. I like them both but Ruban has to be getting old too. Sierra, I'd like to see retire but Franco, I hope he plays until he is 55.

1 dead for Torri Hunter.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 09:08 PM) No. Well now I have.

Did I mention that Jim Thome was f***ing awesome?

QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 05:51 PM) Here are a few stats and notes to lively up the conversation: MB Career ERA+ : 128 MB Rank in IP, last 4 years: 2, 5, 1, 1 Comps through age 26: John Candelaria Mike Hampton Mark Mulder Jim Meritt Tom Glavine AJ Burnett career ERA+ : 110 Burnett, Rank in IP, last 4 years: Oh, not good enough to appear on the Baseball Reference data sheet! For the record, AJ has pitched over 200 innings 3 times in his career--3 times at an age already 2 years older than MB. Buehrle is going to make a lot of money based on these stats. Stats or no stats, teams love to have guys like Buehrle on their team. He is reliable and throws a s*** load of innings. He is a great team player, a fan favorite, and when he is on the mound, he stuff can keep the best of hitters off balance. When you have a pitcher who you are so confident in where it gets to the point that you think "Oh, MB is pitching, he'll give me a QS and keep my team in the game." then you know you have something special. And on top of that, he is a lefty. I f***ing love you Mark Buehrle.

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 11:03 PM) I went to Bishop Noll first till I was a soph., then went to Washington H.S. That's where we played Carmel and other good teams. Check your PM's. -
In the future, I'd like to see statues of Shoeless Joe, Robin Ventura, and Frank Thomas. And in the waaay future, Mark Buehrle.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 12:56 PM) One of the stylists is kinda cute, you can see her in pic#10 in the link provided by SoxPhan7 The blonde is pic #10 is kinda hot but it looks like the guy behind her, with the camera, is taking a pic of her ass.

1.) Don't fluctuate between past and present tense. 2.) Don't overuse the verb "to be." (is, am was, were, etc.)

Have I mentioned that Honeydoo melons are the s***?

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 12:34 AM) Hey SoxFan1 can you tell me a little about Nikola Zigic (I think he's Serbian). He almost signed for West Ham a few months back, and I think he's the tallest striker in the world or something. Look out for this guy at the World Cup, you can't miss him. He doesn't get much playing time for the national team because we are set with strikers. With Kezman (Atl. Madrid), Milosevic (Osasuna), Vucinic (Lecce), and Ljuboja (somewhere in Europe ). Zigic has raw talent but the guy can score. Period. Back in January, just about every single club in Europe was after him but he has until June to decide whether or not to stay in Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) Beograd. He'll be a force for whoever he signs. He scored 50+ goals in 2 seasons with Red Star and they are saying he is the next star striker to come. He scored some big goals for Serbia in the preliminaries but I doubt he will help much in the World Cup unless one of Kezman or Milosevic just get garbage all of the sudden. He's a fun player to watch. He reminds me a lot of Zlatan Ibrahimovic but a bit bulkier.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 12:19 AM) To put this into context, Australia defeated Jamaica 5-0 in a friendly in England late last year, while you guys drew with them 1-1. No way you're better than Argentina, Italy, France and England. Serbia won their preliminary group over Spain but they get ranked 48th while Spain get's ranked 5th? The REAL rankings should be: 1.) Australia 2,) Serbia 3.) Azerbeijan 4.) Asia 5.) South America

Usually this type of thing would infuriate me. But, we won the World Series last year and we have won 9 of our last 10. I could give a s*** less about what these f***tards, or any other f***tards for that matter, think. That is all, go Sox.

QUOTE(SnB @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 11:50 PM) think about it. If the only thing people can complain about concern's the player's hair, things have to be going right. Ozzie couldn't have said it better himself. I could give a s*** less about hair. This doesn't mean that JR is turning to Steinbrenner, it's means he thinks it was just getting a bit out of control. When JR starts telling people to change their batting stance or pitching motion, then I'll be concerned. Sit back, relax, and strap it down (not on), Sox fans. BTW, my fruity ass Cubs fan Journalism teacher interrupted a convo between me and the tech coordinator while he and I were talking about the game and he starts b****ing at us about how the hair made the Sox look like bums and how JR is stupid for letting them grow it out in the first place and that they made the Sox look dirty. When I replied with "It showed the great team chemistry the team posesses and it gives the White Sox an attitude." He was left in a stupor. The tech coord. and I just walked away laughing. Good times. Good times.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 10:15 PM) That's usually the way it works. Thats one of the beauties of wallpapers and sig's. They very rarely come out exactly how you want it.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 10:10 PM) I didn't think I was "up in arms" And yes I noticed right away where the inspiration for the Wallpaper came from, it has similar properties such as the placement of the name and lines . . . Yeah, I was going to do a series like the calendar but it turned out differently than initially expected. The placement of the lines and name is pretty much the only thing that is the same so I guess that idea went down the drain.
-
It was inspired by the 2006 Sox calendar. Thank you for acknowledging the fact that he is a pitcher. I appreciate it.

USA #4??? Wow. That is quite a stretch. Italy is far too low and Cameroon is a very underestimated team. Not sure about Denmark being that high either. Don't know much about them though. Top 3 are definitely the right countries. As I see it, the top 10 are: Brazil Czech Republic Netherlands Italy Spain Portugal Mexico USA Argentina France

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 05:19 PM) It's a good one too.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 05:14 PM) Tried that. Got an error. Seems as if it just wasn't meant to be.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 05:10 PM) There is someone by the name of Mark Buehrle going against him. Which pitcher is better? I'd take Buehrle any day of the week. Uuum, what the last 3 people said,
