  1. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 10:07 PM) Lighten up? Ok I'll remember that if it happens again and the next time that person is not so lucky. Read the post...
  2. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 10:05 PM) :rolly POST OF THE MONTH!!!! You offer very little knowledgable value, get off my back and stick to hockey... Anyways, Rowand singles back up the middle almost taking Sturtzes legs off!
  3. Anyways, back to the game at hand, how about PK. He has actually been pretty clutch lately. HUGE homer...
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 10:02 PM) I know you didn't mean anything cruel. Everyone just needs to take a step back and realize how lucky he was that he didn't die. If you've ever sat in the front row of an upper deck, it's scary as hell when you look down. Thankfully, we didn't have a horrible tragedy occur. Exactly...when you know the outcome of something is ok and all is well, it is ok to laugh and thankfully, yes, the kid is ok. Lighten up people.
  5. Ok, lemme explain myself. When I 1st saw the kid on the net, I was concerned. Is he okay? How did he fall? Then, when I realized he was okay, it isn;t as big of a deal. If someone pushed him,I am sorry and take it all back but if he fell on his own, he is just a dumbass.
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 09:56 PM) When's the next game you're going to?? We'll go to the UD I'll throw you off it onto the net and we'll see how funny it is. Do you know for a fact someone pushed him?
  7. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) Kid almost died and you think its funny? Meh, it's like a big jumping thingy. The look on his face was priceless, admit it.
  8. That was the funniest moment I have ever seen in baseball. How did the kid fall?
  9. Awesome article. Let the moron stick to football and not baseball? Im excited as the next fan about the Rex-TJ/CB-Mush Trio...
  10. QUOTE(soxhawks @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 08:20 PM) this game sucks so bad i had to return it. superstar mode sucks, and so does the gameplay overall i think i was spoiled by ncaa 2006 You should have given it to me!
  11. QUOTE(TheDybber @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) Illinois has Chicago where I can buy/go to a zoo and look at/eat all of the above mentioned animals. I highly doubt you will find mule deer or antelope in any restaurant in Chicago...

Man, SoxTalk is a bunch of nerds ...
  13. Clearly, you guys are not the outdoorsman. I love all these states. Iowa has big bucks. Kansas has big bucks and great catfishing. Wyoming has Elk, Trour, Mule Deer, Whitetail, etc as does Colorado. Nebraska is a great antelope and whitetail state.... Tisk tisk tisk...
  14. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 05:05 PM) Nebraska, at least Iowa is NEAR places that don't suck. I also, though, have a small grudge against Nebraskans. Do tell...

QUOTE(TheDybber @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 05:03 PM) Back in the late 80's when I was in HS...yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm old and stuff...we had this crazy f'ed up system where we were graded on an 8 point scale. I can't even remember how they did it, but I had a 5.6 and that was good. I think an A in an AP class was an 8...honors senior was a 7...honors junior 6, etc. It was the craziest system and stupid since no college would honor it. We still had to shift to the 4 point scale. I don't think they do that anymore, but I could be wrong. PS> Niles North was the HS. Haha, "Yeah I have a 7.6 GPA"
  16. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 04:45 PM) Top 5 stuff like "Choose a beautiful campus! Oh, by the way, did you know that the Iowa State campus was rated one of the most beautiful in America? I'm glad I'm done with that s***. Nah, most of these tips have no promo's about their own school. Only UMinn did...
  17. Birthdays f***ed up a lot of people in some ways. Some are like 17 year old sophomore and some ar 14 year old sophomores. Pretty messed up. My bday messed me up in Little League baseball because I was too young to advance to the next league even if I was way better than others. But I look forward to the search for college and what not. It is very exciting talking to these colleges and deciding what you want to do in your future and in life...
  18. I like both states because the hunting and fishing are great in both but I say Iowa is worse because of the mass Cub fans...
  19. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) Mine's not until October 21. I was a 16-year-old senior in HS. It helped that I started kindergarten before I turned 5. Wow. 16 year old senior? Did you skip any grades or did you just start way early?
  20. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 04:29 PM) It happens before that. Like I said, I only applied to ISU but I got mail from everywhere. California Culinary Institiute, Hamline College, Yale, Tulane, Iowa....It's all over the map You may not believe us, but it's kinda cool when it first starts but it gets annoying as hell. Keep stuff from maybe your top five uni's and throw the others out. I frequent the box with the tips and stuff. Most colleges send me a lot of cool info about how to write an awesome entrance essay or "Top 5 tips to choosing the right school for you" and other stuff like that. Definitely keep-worthy IMO.
  21. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 04:28 PM) I turned 18 in June before my freshman year. ::shrugs:: It means you have a late birthday. What I dont get is how your contemplating U of Chicago at the same time as those other schools. Generally if you are UC material you are looking at ivy league or full ride scholarship to Big 10. SB I'm not contemplating UChi just yet. They sent me some letters about a college visit and information on a major in engineering or something. It had nothing to do with my major or anything...
  22. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 04:28 PM) My classes, sophmore in highschool Spainish 2 Economics health geometry english honors bio Does your school offer Drivers Ed courses??? 23. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 03:17 PM) Really? I thought they were done with the Belvidere one. I might have them mixed up. There are 2 from Chicago to Rockford. 1 is done and the other is not. I probably have them mixed up.

QUOTE(CubsSuck1 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 04:24 PM) Yea.. 5 points for an A in an honors class, 4 for a B. For regular classes its 4 for an A and so on. I took one honors class Freshman year, two soph year, and going for 3 this year. Yeah, that is how my school is. I told 1 person that I had a 4.3 GPA and he was like "How? every school in the US goes on a 4-pt scale!" He also claimed his major in college was studying grade point average's. Haha...
  25. QUOTE(qwerty @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 04:21 PM) So you have been getting letters since you were 14? You are not thatsmart... i still doubt you are gonna be a 16 year old junior... very young one at that. Yes, because at 14, I was a freshman and that was when I joined the College Partnership. My birthday is always 1 week before school starts (Aug 27th). Do the math: 14 - Freshman 15- Sophomore 16- Junior 17 - Senior That means I'll be an 18 yr old freshman in College. Still don't beleive me, oh well.
