  3. I still haven't drawn a walk in 12 games. ONly time on base w/o a hit was a HBP (AJ).
  4. Garland is getting whacked by the Mariners. (FYI, Jeremy Reed is 2-2)
  5. We're on the same page then. I don't want them to take a RB with the 4th. I want Edwards/Johnson. Thats it.

Hey ABoz, I got a question...What ethinicity are you. I know your last name is Bozich? Slavic perhaps?????
  7. Yeah, the Tessie song is kinda annoying. I like the Ready, Steady song or whatever its called too.
  8. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Feb 27, 2005 -> 11:28 PM) Wow. Ok, I'll try to stay nice. "Why would you take Rolle or Johnson when you have corners liek Peanut, Vasher, Azumah, McQuarters?" I think you answered your own question. McQuarters shouldn't be back in a Bears uniform next year, Peanut looks to be an above-average cornerback in the NFL but is still quite raw and needs work, Vasher had a stellar rookie campaign but he is 5'11, 180 and can't cover the big, aggressive WR, and Azumah is TERRIBLE in coverage. You can't possible be serious about Azumah. Do you like him because he wears a dark visor and returns kicks? Azumah is a glorifed special teams player and should be a nickle corner on most good secondaries. Rolle is lockdown, something the Bears don't have (sorry). He shut down the much bigger and stronger Larry Fitzgerald last season and has been talked about since high school. Rolle is big, extremely strong, very fast and extremely athletic. The only knock on this kid is his inability to finish off a tackle and break on an INT. As for Johnson, what can be said of this kid that hasn't already been stated? I've made posts on him all over this forum, I'm too lazy to re-type it, you can dig it out at your lesiure. Gore is extremely talented. You don't top #1 on the Miami depth charts over both Portis and McGahee if you "suck." Lucky to get drafted? Lucky to get drafted? Dude, stick with baseball. He is this year's diamond in the rough. If he didn't have two blown out years in two consecutive seasons, he would have been a first round selection, hands down. So, no sir, he most certainly does not "suck." I agree...they are a suspect crew but there is 1 missing factor in your breakdown of the DB's.... Mike Brown was gone. He makes everyone better. Vasher was excellent last season. Tillman was never fully healthy. Azumah and RDub need to stay because of special teams. Just draft an unheard of CB in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th round is what I say. It's worked 2 years in a row in Vasher and Tillman.
  9. If Miami signs a RB, Benson/Brown is ours. If Miami doesn't signa RB, one of Benson/Brown could be ours. Barring ANY situation, one of Edwards/Williams will be there at WR. Johnson WILL be there at LB and Rolle/Jones will be there at CB. No OT good enough to draft 4th. So....... Barring a Miami signing of a RB, the Bears possibilities are Benson, Brown, Edwards, Williams, Johnson, Jones, and Rolle. Let's evaluate: RB- Not a need but it would be awfully hard to pass up Benson or Brown. Both are phenomenal runners/athletes. WR- The signing of Mush makes it less of a need but Edwards has Roy Williams type skills. Williams has been slacking and didn't shine at the Combine. LB: Johnson is the best defensive player in the draft and possibly the best athlete. He's drawn comparisons to Ray Lewis. Johnson, Urlacher, Briggs = Nuff Said. CB- Not a need but Pac-Man Jones is a true talent at CB. Rolle could be had later in the 1st round if a trade-down happens. That leaves us with: Cedric Benson- Likely to go to Miami. Ronny Brown- Likely to be there at 4. Braylon Edwards- WILL be there at 4. Mike Williams- Slipping but WILL be there at 4. Derrick Johnson- WILL be there at 4. Antrelle Rolle- WILL be there at 4. Pac-Man Jones- WILL be there at 4. Eliminating the possibility of a RB which is not a NEED and CB which is also not a NEED, we are left with: Edwards, Williams, Johnson Like I said earlier, signing Mush helped out a lot. I wouldn;t be upset w/ a healthy Rex, TJ, BJ, Mush, Terrell, and Clark out there on O. But, the oppurtunity to have THE BEST LB core in the league with Johnson, Urlacher, Briggs is just too much to pass up. SO, I say draft Johnson.
  10. I don't understand. I know your referring to Bonds but Aaron holds the record. Didn't Bonds already pass Ruth?
  11. And he just hit a 1st pitch HR over the LF wall at Jocobs Field off Cliff Lee! And A-Row makes it back-to-back jacks! YEAH!!!!!!!!!
  12. How ironic...as I read the quotes, guess who comes up on MVP Baseball 2005.....yeah, Jermaine Dye.
  13. We'll just have to show them on the field. I dont give a f*** about BBTN anymore. They are dumbasses. The only one who ever had some sence was John fricking Kruk.
  14. QUOTE(Yoda @ Feb 27, 2005 -> 05:51 PM) The guy was overweight, but somehow he was still able to hit the ball. A great man indeed, no question about it, its just sad that some cheat will pass his remarkable home run record at any moment. Uuuuuum, last time I checked....Henry Aaron holds the record for HR?
  15. How do you know all this southside???
  16. I know what your talking about Brian. BTW, I'm playing right now. Sox 2, Indians 0. Bottom 1st. Thomas hit a 2 run bomb in the top of the 1st on a fastball up and in with Pods on base. El Duque is pitching to Belliard, 1 down.

  19. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 27, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) Why is Benson more out of the picture then Ronnie? I think the Bears will strongly consider whichever Miami doesn't take. Beacuse Benson has been Miami's guy since ealrny January.
  20. So, Williams is out of the picture. OL is out of the picture. Benson is 75% out of the picture. It's down to, like I said, Braylon, Ronnie and Derrick.
  21. Skiles bring Tyson in for AD/Othella sometimes though.
  22. What the hell happened to Cadillac Williams? Earlier they were saying that he might go before Ronie Brown but after a 4.32, I doubt that. Anyways, Bears take Brown/Edwards/Johnson 4th. We'll have to wait and see.
  23. Kirk has hit a bit of a wall lately this season but the Wins keep coming in. Let's hope he gets back to his good 'ole self and we can turn some of these 3 point games into blowouts. BTW, awesome wallpaper Goldy.
  24. I dont want it turning into a Rams type situation where your starter plays well but you cant keep the high pick RB on the bench even though the starter is playing well. Faulk was doing just fine and then they realized "Oh, we gotta give Jackson some playing time too." and that pretty much f***ed them up. Jackson is a great talent and a wonderful RB but if it aint broke dont fix it. The Bears running game was fine, so, dont fix it. Also, I beleive TJ missed one or 2 games last year which also provides a decline in #'s.
  25. Qwerty, the answer is yes. I could care less who starts and who plays 1 second a game, as long as the W's are getting racked up. Duhon is one of those great players you'll never see anything on the scoresheet with him. He leads the team as a PG, hits open shots, passes the ball well, plays great D, and shows he can be a leader on the court. That is why he is starting and one of the reasons the Bulls are winning.
