  1. Tyson gets his points as a scrapper. He gets the tip-ins, alley-oops, and gets to thew FT line by getting tough Offensive boards down low. If he can get 4-6 more points a game, he'd be starting over Othella and AD.
  2. I think it would be absolutely stupid to waste 2 straight picks on RB. MAYBE 1 but 2, no. Also, saying that ALL the team needs is depth at RB is a BIG mistake. I would go with either Johnson out of Texas or Edwards out of Michigan.
  3. My favorite song from the soundtrack is "You Owe Me an IOU" from Hot Hot Heat.

  5. Dye is absolutely ripping up the MLB. The 6-2 White Sox are in 1st place in the AL Central. pods also has 6 SB already. Gooch sprained an MCL in the 2nd game of the season and Willie has been doing a decent job filling in. Gooch comes back in 5 more days!
  6. I would do 1 of the following 2: 1) Draft Edwards/ Mike Williams with the 4th pick or 2) Trade down for 2 1st rounders and choose Mike Williams with the 1st and the best OL or LB available with the 2nd 1st rounder.
  7. Excellent point WHArris1, he was awesome with Grossman in. You also have to factor in the injuries to the OL after Grossman went out too. Tucker, Tait, and Brown were all injured.
  8. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Feb 27, 2005 -> 03:09 PM) Haha wrong thread. 56789, how in the world did you get Beltran and Pujols? 4-team Fantasy Draft
  9. I agree w/ Mr. Showtime. The hitting games are cool but the pitching games are pretty crappy. Haven't tried the fielding one yet. So, after 1 night with the game, which I played until 1:00 am with, my overall impression is that the game is better than last years obviousle but they have changed/upgraded lots of things. Here's what I got, positives and negatives: 1) LH Power Glitch: 1st HR I hit in the game came w/ Pierzynski to the opposite field. 2) Smoother gamepley: Fielders make smoother looking plays and the fielding in general looks more realistic. Negative: Infielders catch fly-balls TOOO much. 3) Pitching it too easy once again: I threw a 10 inning shutout w/ El Duque....c'mon?! P.S.- Ozzie was thrown out so the CPU kept him in 10 innings with Shingo getting the save in the 11th. 4) Baserunning Stretch Step: They changed the baserunning when your runnong down 1st and take that long last stride. Only problem is that the runners have a hitch in their step right before they make the final leap. Nothing major but I thought I'd make a note. 5) Owner Mode is Odd: The whole financial thing is weird. You lose money on road games but at home games you cant make much because you have a limited amount of $$$ to buy assets (Concessions, additional seating, etc). It's hard staying on top of things. BTW, the seating is gonna be crappy for the first 1-2 seasons w/ the stadium.
  10. Johnson, Urlacher, Briggs = Best in the League! Muhammed, Edwards, Terrell= Among the top in the league. Jones, Benson= Among the best as well. You choose!
  11. Guys...I just have returned home from Toys R' Us with my new edition MVP Baseball 2005 for Xbox. Haven;t played it yet but I'll get back to you tommorrow. $30 at Toys R Us! YES!!!!!
  12. Take it FWIW. Who knows who it could be. I'm gonna say Valdez or Ozuna.
  13. So, for people who have MVP 2005, what is the initial prospectus on the game? Any visual enhancements? Players left-out on rosters? Etc.???
  14. Official practices start Monday! Whooo! Starting 3rd baseman and a jacket w/ my name on it! Yeah!
  15. It's not MJ because of the D. It's not AI because of the attitude. It;s not Vinnie Johnson because.....it's not. Hence, I voted other.
  16. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 03:26 PM) WH: "Hit 'em in the nuts! Hit 'em in the nuts! Hit 'em in the nuts! Japanese bastard."
  17. BTW, the picture can;t be after contact because the angle of the bat isn;t parallel with the edge of home plate. Comntact is made at or past the edge closest to the pitcher of home plate, the bat is still too far back.
  18. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 22, 2005 -> 06:32 PM) Why isn't he looking at the ball????
  19. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 08:44 AM) http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-doug20.html Awesome sig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. http://www.baseball-reference.com/c/carusmi01.shtml (1998) .306 AVG, 5 HR, 55 RBI, 22 SB, .331 OBP (1999) .250 AVG, 2 HR, 35 RBI, 12 SB, .280 OBP
  21. Kinda eyes the negatives.
  22. Yes, the bearded man with MB and Dustin is Neal Cotts. He was on CSN the other night with his scruffy self. BTW, are thheir any definite pictures of El Duque yet???
  23. Players report today??? YAY!!!!!!!!!!
  24. http://bigleaguers.yahoo.com/mlb/players/6/6019/ Apparently, El Duque is 35 but his body is lean and cut. Age doen't matter. Satchel Paige pitched into his late 40's and was dominant....not to meantion he could throw 100 mph, then come with a 72 mph changeup, then come with a 91 mph screwgy.
  25. Wasn't Mike Caruso righty??? He drag bunted ALL THE TIME!
