Speaking of coaches, our varsity coach sucks. He makes us do a whole bunch of s*** we don't have to and that have nothing to do with baseball. -
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) 3rd not to Carl: Please excuse the bad grammar Signed, DBAH0 This coming from an Australian.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 09:57 PM) He'll be arbitration eligible next season IIRC, so it's a big year for him no doubt. That's what they all say! Seriously though, I hope Crede has a huge season.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 09:33 PM) Let's just expand on this a little. Damon's OBP - .380 Cabrera's OBP - (Season .306) (Boston .320) Now let's have a look at the White Sox's top of the order; Harris OBP - .343 Rowand OBP- .361 Boston top of the order OBP = .700 Chicago top of the order OBP = .704 Cabrera + Damon's salary - $6,000,000 + $8,000,000 = $14,000,000 Harris + Rowand's salary - $318,500 +$340,000 = $658,500 Way to krunch the numbers!

2nd note to Carl: Take off the fleece. Your in Arizona. Signed, SoxFan1

QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 08:34 PM) Yeah, and he was a stud in that playoff game (429 yds, 3 TDs). I thought I was right.

QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 09:12 PM) I totally agree with the above. I'd really love to see Duhon play more with Noccioni. This type of a move could improve both players at the same time. Duhon defends well, but sometimes he seems to "run out of gas," while Noccioni never seems to run out of energy, but sometimes seems to get lost in plays. Having both on the floor at the same time could help "cancel out" each other's deficiencies. Thats a great way of loking at it. That actually might help. Have you contacted Skiles yet???

QUOTE(soxman352000 @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) Hope the Bulls can shut down YM and Steve Francis unlike last time. that game was ugly Streve Francis plays for the Orlando Magic. Your thinking of Tracy McGrady.

1) I pray to god this doesn;t turn into the ESPN SI jynx. 2) Rajon Rando, Darren Brooks, and Eddie Basden CANNOT stop Dee Brown. 3) That is a raw ass picture of Dee.

"The Shawshank Redemption" Oh yeah, that was a good book!

You grew up on 26th f.o.p.??? Props...I've been around there. I beleive it's mostly Mexican there now. That is a f***ed up ass place. BTW, it's kinda ironic that I am listening to 50 Cent's new CD right now.

I was looking at AJ's "official" website and came up with some funny pics: Haha...funny to me for some reason. Make your own caption to this one: AJ: "Dude, your cure f***ing sucks! My palms are still hairy" Kirk: "Man.........................shut up!"

Yesterday marked 1st official practices. We did LOTS of fielding practice. Anyone actually playing this year??? -
Personally, I'd rather get Holcolm. He was great when Cleveland was winning 2 years ago when Couch went down. Didn't they make the playoffs that year?
-
Your rught though Critic. M's came up in FA, Angels got Cabrera, and.....thats about it. Oakland = blah!
-
Crede was a FA? 1 yr, 400G's???? What the f***? Where have I been?
-
In my game, Dye, Pods, and Rowand are ripping up the AL. Rowand is batting over .400, Dye is tied for the League Lead in HR, and Pods has the League Lead in 2B and SB.

who would you like to see the bears draft
SoxFan1 replied to soxhawks's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I understand why you would say that but Miami still hasn't changed from Benson to Brown. Brown got himself a lot of money from his Combine workouts but I wouldn't doubt Miami still takes Benson. You never know what can happen. -
Today the Tampa Bay Buccaneers released Jurevicous and Gold. The Patriots released Troy Brown. Tennessee let go of Mason last week and Coakley was let go by Dallas today. I would like to see the Bears sign (or at least make a run at) 2 of these guys. Those 2 being Gold and Brown. Gold would become a starting OLB next to BU and Briggs. Besides, the Bears realy went after Gold last season and he still may want to come here. This would null he drafting of Johnson and let the Bears focus on WR more. Thats were Brown comes in. On Brown's part, I know it's probably a long shot, but he would look great in a Bears uni. Lining him up across from Mush would give the Bears a WR tandem they haven't had since Booker/Robinson were both good/healthy. It's a long shot for Brown but if not, drafting Edwards or Williams wouldn't hurt. If Gold is signed, draft Edwards/Williams. If another WR is signed, draft Johnson. If neither happens, I would like to see them get Edwards. If both happen, a big unlikelihood, then it allows us to draft Benson/Brown (whoever Miami doesn't pick) or it allows us to trade down and go for the best CB or OL. Thought???

I voted Ronnie Brown because I would like the Bears to sign Ian Gold who was released from Tampa Bay today which would replace Johnson and maybe sign a WR like Jurevicous (who was also cut form Tampa), Brown, or Mason which would take away the drafting of Williams/Edwards. If 1 of these happens, I want the Bears to draft for the other but if neither of these happen, I would want them to take Edwards or Johnson. -
