  1. I'm a fan of that inning.
  2. Ground ball pulled to the right side, for the 1,000,000th time this year already.
  3. How did you not expect that? You walk two guys, you deserve that kind of hit.
  4. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 20, 2007 -> 01:39 PM) To be fair, he's only bad at calling games and throwing the ball. Otherwise he's very very good. Actually, I'll defend him. His weak spot is his arm. He's good at blocking and catching. He needs to get better at calling. Seems like he was calling great games in '05, what happened since? Same staff essentially. Lack of preparation?
  5. A glimmer of hope with that pitchout, but what was I thinking? Even when we do things right we screw them up.
  6. No walks, for the love of God. Awesome.
  7. QUOTE(PlunketChris @ May 20, 2007 -> 01:27 PM) Thome activated.. Sweeney deactivated?? ugh.. Do you really expect Thome to be healthy the rest of the year? Even if he is, someone will go down. Sweeney will be back.
  8. Sox had a few lead off guys on yesterday and couldn't do anything with it. Hopefully today is different. Here we go again, nice job Gooch.
  9. Joe Girardi for next Sox manager?
  10. I'm telling you, Masset=Felix Diaz! I was at the Diaz game, and said beforehand that if he beat the Cubs I'd get his name and number on my jersey. Of course I didn't, but I'll say the same for Nick!
  11. Have you ever seen a team pop up so much? Of course you haven't!
  12. Is it worth even watching tomorrow? Maybe he'll pull a Felix Diaz...
  13. Thanks for getting behind in the count, Javy, and for walking Derosa. Your strategy=awesome.
  14. QUOTE(spiderman @ May 19, 2007 -> 04:15 PM) I know Ozzie isn't going to do it at least until Thome comes back, but I'd consider giving Konerko about 2 days off in a row. He just looks completely lost at the plate, and he is helping the team at all. Maybe letting him watch for a game or two will give him an opportunity to recharge himself mentally where I'm sure he's a bit worn down, batting .190ish still in the later part of May. Call up Triple A Charlotte up and let the whole team see a game or two. They could all use some recharging.
  15. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 19, 2007 -> 04:14 PM) And he walks Mark f***ing Derosa Gets better all the time, doesn't it?
  16. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 19, 2007 -> 04:13 PM) Opposite field, I wonder if our team even knows what that is.
  17. Announcers just mention that he hasn't given up 5th/6th inning homeruns this year, and on cue he gives one up. To Barrett of all people. Amazing.
  18. It's amazing the lack of consistency with these hitters. One inning you think MAYBE they're starting to figure it out, and they follow it with a 6 pitch inning. Pendulum swings back to the Cubs.
  19. QUOTE(joeynach @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:12 PM) Yikes this outfield is atrocious right now. Dye banged up, Pods on DL, now Mack banged up. Plus couple that with Thome out of the lineup cuz hes hurt too. Did we get really old this year, did I miss us becoming the Miami heat of the American League? Anyway they better get Tererro up here real qucik cuz all we got now is Erstad, Anderson, and Ozuna. I feel bad for our pitchers, espcially young Danks who have to deal with downgraded lineup as well as shotty outfield defense with all these converts out there. To be real honest the blame lies with KW not having real OF's on the bench, at least defensively, instead of the two INF they converted to OF last year. This is becoming very ugly. Agree. This outfield has given up so many runs this year that even adequate defensive outfielders handle. It's getting to be really ridiculous.
  20. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 09:17 PM) Solid inning. Is the audio just brutal for anyone else?? Yep, WCIU does it again. Didn't someone say the Sox aren't going to be on this godawful channel next year?
  21. This is an unforgivable game to lose. Absolutely no excuse, this was an easy win in the bag, and the decisions made were literally the worst possible choices. I can't believe it, it's mindboggling. I don't know what to do, this is just ridiculous.
  22. Baltimore magic, Ross...
  23. With the rise of the internet, how long do you think it will take for a message board rep to be considered part of the press and allowed to be a part of post game interviews? I'd love all of our real, relevant questions to be asked and potentially answered.
  24. This last inning makes me want to cry. Literally.
