QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 08:35 PM) Tito's vodka. Make sure its chilled. If chilled is better than any other vodka IMO on the market. Pretty shocking since its made in Texas. I received a bottle as a gift once and have turned several people on to it. Its tremendous. For the longest time I was convinced that all decent vodkas were practically indistinguishable, but a recent side-by-side blind comparison at a spirits store promotion carsed me to revive my opinion. I now consider them to be nearly indistinguishable, if they are consumed straight and side-by-side. In a mixed drink, I'm still not convinced any of the super premium brands are worth shelling out for compared to the acceptable results you can achieve with a mid-grade vodka. On the other hand, if someone had the audacity to suggest that all gold rums were the same and you might as well save a few dollars and use Bacardi Select in all your rum drinks. . . Well, then there would be trouble.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 04:44 PM) Even if I knew what that was, I still wonder if that is an insult or not... Floods and Arks and Angry Old Testament Gods 'n such. Most of us real scientists mock the likes of Balta.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 03:45 PM) Or they can choose to strip the most meaningful symbol of Christianity of all of its value by declaring it secular. Isn't that what various courts have done in the past? I didn't even see where the had worked a collection box into the monument. I Kid Because I Care®

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 03:50 PM) Note - deliberately didn't use the exact quote. Can't tell if I fooled you or not. Oh. . . did you say something?

Serendipity was the film that made me fall for her. Saccharine-sweet chick flick, but I tend to like most of John Cusack's films and Kate is unbelievable cute in this one.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 03:04 PM) Another problem is that the original monument was erected with no permission from the landowner at the time. See? That's why I should reserve comments until I read the story. Which I prolly won't bother to do because I'm lazy.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 03:00 PM) As would vagina, to bring it full circle. Can we move back out of the gutter, please?

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 02:47 PM) I see why the stink was raised about this though. A requested buddhist monument was rejected, its kind of hard to say one religious identifier is allowed and another is not allowed. Here it's a case of the existing monument being grandfathered in because of the circumstances. If researchers unearth native American religious artifacts on Federal lands, I'm going to be excited by the find and I'm not going to claim the government is supporting a particular religious viewpoint over all others by displaying those artifacts on site. At the same time, if a modern native American tribe (or any religious domination) asked Interior to sanction a new religious monument in a national park I would object.

QUOTE (Tex @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 02:40 PM) http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/10/05/sup...ref=mpstoryview I'll gladly with the GOP lawmakers on this issue. I haven't read the story yet, but I think I am in agreement. If the monument was constructed and erected when the site was private property then there is no federal religious bias at hand and I don't think the monument needs to come down.

X-rated. . . I knew we'd get there eventually.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 01:20 PM) Rosati's opened down here. Problem is everybody gets drunk and just wants cheap, filling food. And if you want to spend money get Papa Dels. Hey Russ, I just noticed you're home town is Ann Arbor. How does your being an Illini sit with all of your UMich friends and families? I bet you catch a lot of cr@p for that. Go Illini!

QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 01:10 PM) Did you go to Treno's too...ya old fart? Oh wait...I went there... Indeed I did. Why nobody could make a decent Chicago thin crust pie that close to Chicago still baffles me.
