I'm sorry - exactly when did the honorable congressman become a part of a two year long investigation regarding felonies in the state of Florida that he chose to battle by talking about it to 20 million listeners nearly every week and taking out full page ads in newspapers across Florida? When did the honorable congressman try to extend the story by fighting it in the media?

And it only took five posts! Once we elect a cokehead president, I guess a pill addiction really isn't a big deal, is it?

I've heard good things about the Spelling Bee - although if I have to go see musical theatre, its Avenue Q - because I only want my musicals in puppet form.

I wanna say that there are some reports from the Red Cross that allege it, but goings on at Gitmo - well, I think youd have some difficulty finding any admissions about anything there.

And why do banks in Chicago ask me if I want to use Polish? Oh yeah, because there are Poles there - who despite knowing and using English feel more comfortable using their native tongue when making business transactions because they don't want to screw up their finances. I think its PNC Bank that gives you the choice of 6 languages to use.

A lot of people seem pissed off by the concept. Especially our President. Yet here's a picture of Jon Secada at the 2001 Presidential Inauguration. He's singing the National Anthem in Spanish. He did it regularly during the 2000 Bush campaign. Apparently, also common were children singing the National Anthem in "Spanglish," while accompanied by "Viva Bush" mariachi bands. In fact, it's been reported that at hispanic festivals that the President himself sang the national anthem in Spanish! Oh nos! What does this mean? Absolutely nothing. Sadly a war on culture is often time part and parcel of a debate regarding other issues somewhat related. Illegal Immigration becomes an issue on the Latinization of the United States. When in reality the Latinization is going to happen because legal immigration is maxing out from that area as well and a big part of their culture is coming with them. And it's a great thing. If only we could remember the good times when Presidential candidates and Jon Secada could get together and sing the national anthem in Spanish or Klingon or whatever - and not have it be a political issue.

I was one of 100 people that voted in the Mecosta County Dem Caucus of 2004. So I know for a fact, there were only 100 people in the party that year.
