Guys, now do you see why you assume that Bears QBs suck until they prove they don't? If Mitch continues to look this bad, you have to consider another regime change at the end of the season. Just fire Nagy and let the new guy pick his own coach and find a stopgap at QB to try to attempt to make something out of this defense. New guy has to run a 3-4 defense. Pace can't be this wrong on a guy he traded up 1 spot to draft and be allowed to keep his job. The Mack stuff, however good he may be, is icing on the cake. He needs to be fired if Mitch continues to suck. Jon Gruden is laughing.

Defensive metrics are meh at best. They think Engel sucks in CF. The eye test still wins when it comes to defense. For some reason people think Moncada isn't that great of a 2B but I beg to differ. I think he could be every bit as good at it as Anderson is at SS.

They're the AL dark horse. If not the Astros or Red Sox, it will be them. I don't see the Yankees or A's beating any of those three. Houston-Cleveland is going to be a hell of a ALDS series.

His ERA was so bad over the 1st 2 months of the season that the fact he got it under 6 is a minor miracle. I thought that given how horrible Giolito started out that if he got it to around 5.50 by the end of the season that was a major win. EDIT: Much better in the 2nd inning.

I've never seen a team be on his breaking stuff like the Cubs were in that 1st inning. He gave up the hit and HR on a curveball(albeit it was a hanger) and a changeup. Usually when he got hit hard it was off his fastball. What happened to the guy that shut down the Red Sox 3 weeks ago? I want to continue to believe in this guy figuring it out eventually but he's making it really hard.

There really isn't much else to focus on from a position player standpoint other than Palka. Anderson is what he is.

Engel seems to have at least 20 lives. The Sox keep bringing up guys that could take his spot but they keep failing miserably. It shouldn't be this hard to find a replacement for Adam Engel.

Debatable on all 3, we haven't seen Jimenez at the MLB level yet. Anderson is ok but could be upgraded, and Narvaez is a crappy defensive catcher.

I think he's going to explode next season, and become the guy we all thought we were getting when we traded Sale for him. I wish that there was at more than just Lopez we could pencil into our future lineup at this moment(end of 2018) I hate we have to wait 6 months to continue this process. I don't want to wait for April 2019.

If we get August Giolito I think he'll be right up there with him. Rodon Lopez Giolito and who else next year? I guess they have to go out and get some guys out of the bargain bin. If we get someone slightly worse than August Giolito out of him, that would be ok as a #3-4 starter.
