  1. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 1, 2010 -> 03:25 PM) Disagree since it was a chip shot, NW should have won anyway. And congrats on having the worst field of all the bowl games Capital One bowl committee. It would be better if they just played in a swamp. Florida Citrus Sports might be the dumbest committee of all time. In the past 3 weeks, the Citrus Bowl has hosted 8 state high school title games, the Champs Bowl and now the Capital One Bowl. Just idiotic. UCF plays 30 minutes away so they need to start moving some of the HS games to that stadium. And not have 2 bowl games within 72 hours.
  2. miami-hurricanes.com which has some good posters along with they typical hate everything trolls, plus its not a paid site so thats cool too. I visit MMA.tv a lot and Bigsoccer.com once in awhile too.
  3. What a crap game to attend. 1. It was cold out. 2. It was boring as f***. Wisconsin did what they do best which was pound the ball. For whatever reason, our dumbass OC felt the need to run deep patterns with an OLine that couldnt block and Wisconsin just stacking the box and bringing players. Shouldve mixed in a few screens or quick passes to slow Wisconsin's pass rush a bit. I know we have a lot of second year players but there's no excuse to look like a high school team size wise vs Wisconsin. Miami fans have been wanting the the S&C coach fired for years so I hope it will finally happen after tonight. Problem is the NFL Canes like the guy and swear by him. Thats all good for grown men to like him but not for 18-20 year old kids who are still growing into college football players.
  4. WKMG in Orlando is reporting Meyer had an in season heart attack. http://www.clickorlando.com/sports/22064093/detail.html
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 26, 2009 -> 04:05 PM) They are?? I've heard plenty of commentators question why Pacquiao refuses to just undergo the testing... And I've read more fans blame Mayweather for this crap than Pacman.
  6. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Dec 26, 2009 -> 03:34 PM) I'll be too upset if this fight doesn't get done and it will all be aimed at Pacman. So it's Pacman's fault the fight wont happen because he doesnt want do have random drug tests before the fight? 1. Olympic style drug testing isnt mandatory in pro boxing. 2. As stated before, Pacman has agreed to do 3 blood tests for this fight. If Mayweather's camp is really concerned with PED's, then the 3 blood tests should be enough. Why should Pacman cave to every demand from Mayweather? I never expeceted this fight to happened because Floyd is too concerned with being undefeated. Mayweather thought he could accuse Pacman of drug use in hopes to play mind games and if Pacman didnt agree to them, Floyd's camp will just throw out claims and use that as a reason not to fight. Problem is, anyone with half a brain is seeing right thru this ploy and will blame Mayweather for not fighting.
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 25, 2009 -> 04:30 PM) Because it is probably really easy to beat the testing required by the state commission. Really, if you don't have anything to hide there is no reason not to agree to the testing. Pacman isnt trying to hide anything. He already said he's willing to take a blood test in January, another random test during the final month of his camp and another right after the fight. Mayweather didnt really want this fight to happen and it's showing. And boxing is wondering why MMA is starting to take fans away from their sport.
  8. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Dec 24, 2009 -> 01:16 AM) Why is this unreasonable and how would having blood taken affect Pacman's performance? Are they going to take like a few liters out of him to do the tests? I dont know how because I've never had to take blood tests but obviously Pacman thinks it hinders his performance by taking frequent tests up until fight time. Pacman said he's got no problem with a test a few weeks out and right after the fight so that should be good enough for Mayweather's camp.
  9. Wonder if Zuffa will air any of Fedor fights...
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 23, 2009 -> 11:11 AM) Looks like the superfight is in jeopardy. Mayweather is requesting strict olympic-style drug testing, while Pacquiao refuses to have his blood drawn within 30 days of the fight, as he says it could affect his peformance. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writ...ther/index.html Mayweather is such a b****. He had no intentions on fighting Pacman. He was waiting to pull this stunt the minute Pacquiao accepted the fight.
  11. From footballtalk.com. Guess people shouldnt put too much stock in what McShay and ESPN yap about when it comes to the NFL draft.
  12. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 20, 2009 -> 04:22 PM) Off to another fantastic start. Another redzone INT for Cutler. Awesome. But I'm sure its not his fault, right?
  13. StrikeForce might have just gave us the most entertaining card of the year.
  14. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 13, 2009 -> 05:33 PM) They were 6-4 coming in with losses to Buffalo, Akron, Auburn, and Austin Peay. Mid-majors must be pretty terrible this year. Gotta love how Ill St fans can spin anything into a positive. Niagara is far from a "solid" team.
  15. Only saw the last 3 fights but BJ just outclassed Sanchez, a total clinic. It's too bad that there isnt one person in the world at 155 that could offer Penn a tough fight. Maybe his new weight trainers can get him to 170 properly because there's nothing for him at 155.
  16. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Dec 12, 2009 -> 07:39 PM) UFC 107 predictions? PAIN!
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 11, 2009 -> 04:52 PM) So Illinois decides to keep Zook and the offensive assistant coaches become the sacrificial lambs. I just really don't understand this. The 2010 recruiting class has completely fallen apart and Zook is going to have a really hard time recruiting in 2011 as basically a lame duck head coach. So unless the team has a year similar to 2007 it is likely that the 2011 class sucks as well. What kills me is that there is enough talent on the current roster for a competent coach to come in and have a winning season and build momentum. But no instead of just saying the 2010 class is going to suck regardless lets also sacrifice the 2011 recruiting class, and continue to employ a head coach in over his head. The only way this would even make remote sense is if the assistants that they hire to take over the OC and DC positions are big time coaches but nobody that is a big time coach is going to come be an OC or DC when there is a good chance the HC only will be here for 1 more year. The begining of the end for the Zooker. Same exact thing happened at Miami a few years ago. Coker fires his offensive assistants and a year later he is fired. Recruiting classes also sucked big time the last few years of Coker's era too.
  18. Notre Dame is really going to look bad if Kelly passes. Stoops says no thanks. Meyer isnt interested. Kelly says no and Paul Johnson isnt interested. So basically the 5th choice finally agrees.
  19. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Dec 6, 2009 -> 04:41 PM) He sure didn't sound very surprised nor very excited. I was thinking the same thing. I only watched the short clips, not the entire show, but he didnt seem excited at all. Kinda like when you wanted some Nike shoes for Xmas and got some Pony's instead.
  20. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 6, 2009 -> 07:32 PM) Because the team Boise plays wouldn't have the whole offseason to prepare? Flawed logic. Ask Oklahoma how Boise State shows up in a bowl game. The team playing Boise also has other things/games to worry about too. Boise plays crap from games 2-12 so they can sell out for one game. They also want to play when they are as close to 100% as possible. Boise doesnt have the balls to play a good team in week 5 when they might be banged up some because they know they arent good enough to compete week in and week out against bigger teams in the country. Atleast TCU is willing to go out on the road to big conferences during the season.
  21. QUOTE (The Bones @ Dec 6, 2009 -> 05:03 PM) Like Oregon, for instance? In a rematch, yes. Boise is a fraud. They say they want to play big teams but only under 1 condition. They want them the first game of the season when they can prepare the entire offseason for one game and when the other team might not be clicking yet.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 6, 2009 -> 05:23 PM) Weis just needs to STFU before he becomes too damaged of goods to get another decent job. Hopefully he becomes too damaged and then joins the Bucs staff as OC next year.
