  1. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 07:10 PM) http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/silva-gri...r-ufc-101-17218 The Spider vs. Forrest at 101 This match up isnt doing anything for me right now. Dana White believes Silva is the best P4P fighter then I think Silva needs a bigger matchup. If Silva isnt going to fight GSP then he needs to be fighting the top of the LHW division, ie an automatic title shot or Rampage. Forrest is nice and all but he couldnt even defend his title and is either 4th or 5th in that weight class rankings(Evans,Machida,Rampage,Forrest or Shogun). I'm thinking Dana White is making this fight so Silva can beat Forrest and Dana can start spewing the nonsense that Silva is the best P4P fighter because he beat a former LHW champ.
  2. So will LeBron to the Bulls threads repleace the Crawford to the Sox threads now?
  3. QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 05:39 PM) 1. Wrong. Numbers weren't weak at all. 2900 yards 20 TD 8 INT, 404 rushing yards 14 TDs. He accounted for almost 3500 yards and 34 TDs on a pretty bad team. 2. What about the 4 games he had over 70? Career comp% in the high 50's so I don't see what your issue is there. 3. You dont know he doesnt have the head for the game, thats yet to be seen. 4. They have a LOT of holes, so what does it matter. 1. Who cares about rushing yards. He isnt going to be Vick out there running around in the NFL. Arent good QBs suppose to make the WR's better? According to most on here, Cutler is going to make the Bears WR corp better because he is a talented QB. 2. You mean the 4 games against North Texas, Montana State, Louisiana-Lafayette, and Texas A&M?? That is something to brag about. 3. Fine but he makes questionable decisions at the college game. What kind of decisions will he make in the pros? 4. Holes on defense. The Bucs lost their last 4 games because of the defense last year, not the offense. The Bucs are an 8 win team at best next year, fix the defense and try to find a QB in free agency next season or draft one next year. This year's QB class is weak. 5. Plus just look at the history of drafting a JR QB in the 1st round. Not a good track record.
  4. QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 05:30 PM) Yeah at Kansas State where he had nothing around him Guy has all the tools you want in a QB, its up to Tampa to develop him now.. I liked it I dont like it but with Jeff Jagodzinski as OC maybe he thinks he can develop this guy. I'll give Jag the benefit of the doubt because he's worked with some good QBs in his career.
  5. QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 05:25 PM) Whats your problem with Freeman? Top High School recruit, big body, huge arm I think its a smart move, especially for a team that has absolutely nothing on their roster unless you think Leftwich is gonna be reborn 1. Freeman put up weak numbers in a bad defensive league. 2. He completed less than 50% of his passes in 4 games last year. Not consistent at all. 3. Being a big body and having a huge arm means nothing if you dont have the head for the game. 4. The Bucs have a lot of holes on defense. I'd rather the Bucs addressed those issues. With either Leftwich or McCown passing, the Bucs have enough weapons with Winslow, Antonio Byrant, Ward and the other RBs to be competitive next season if the defense could get better.
  6. hahahaha, and thats why the Raiders are who they are. I like Bey in the back half of the first but to draft him over Crabtree?? WOW!
  7. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 07:05 PM) Yahoo Mock Draft Bears #2 pick: http://nfldraft.rivals.com/cviewplayer.asp...outing#scouting Pretty interesting mock draft there. I really liked how the Yahoo! guy had the Bucs drafting LeSean McCoy in the second. That would be a great pick up since the Bucs dont even have a second round pick! haha. Guess that's why that writer is at Yahoo. But anyways, as the resident Tampa Bay fan this is what I'd like to see tomorrow for us. We have glaring holes up the middle on defense, ie DT. I'd also like to see the Bucs find a WR that can stretch the field. Here is my draft board for Tampa Bay in the first round: 1. DT Jerry from Ole Miss 2. WR Heyward-Bey from Maryland 3. OLB Matthews from USC 4. DT Hood from Missouri 5. WR Nicks from UNC--wouldnt like him at 19 but wouldnt mind if the Bucs were able to trade down a few spots to get him. I really think the Bucs can find a quality DT in the third round if Jerry or Hood isnt their first round selection. RIP Miami Hurricanes First Round Draft Streak. 1995-2008.
  8. Have you tried checking out the nearest mall? I actually want to buy the Sox hat that was blue with the C on it. From the late 80s to early 90s before the switch to the black uniforms. Anyone know a site that still sells those?
  9. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Apr 23, 2009 -> 09:56 PM) yeah, Oz and Herm just pulled him without really looking at him or talking to him, so hopefully since it was 6-0 they weren't taking any chances Probably to get some ice on it and try to reduce the swelling.
  10. Nevermind the 6 runs allowed, how the hell does this team let Adam Eaton shut them out for 5 innings?
  11. I hear ya. White has been catering towards the TUF alums on PPVs because the casual fans/new fans know those guys from the show. I think some of those guys should work their way up to the PPV main card status but oh well.
  12. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 11:25 PM) The accomplishments are great, but that was long ago. LONG ago. If he had star power still, then yes he should be on the main card. But he doesn't. Youre saying that all these scheduled fights for 101 and 102 have more star power than Coleman/Bonnar? UFC 101 Lightweight Championship bout: B.J. Penn vs. Kenny Florian Light Heavyweight bout: Forrest Griffin vs. Thiago Silva Welterweight bout: Amir Sadollah vs. Johny Hendricks Middleweight bout: Ricardo Almeida vs. Kendall Grove Lightweight bout: Josh Neer vs. Kurt Pellegrino UFC 102 Heavyweight bout: Randy Couture vs. Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira Light Heavyweight bout: Matt Hamill vs. Brandon Vera Middleweight bout:Chris Leben vs. Jake Rosholt Heavyweight bout: Junior dos Santos vs. Justin McCully Chael Sonnen vs. Wilson Gouveia Each of those cards has atleast 2 fights that shouldnt see anything about an UFN event.
  13. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 03:51 PM) Did you see Mark Coleman back in January? I have NO problem with him being on the prelim. If he puts on a good show, of course it'll make the PPV anyway. A former 2 UFC tourney champ, former UFC heavyweight champ, former PRIDE champ deserves to be on a main card against a good fighter like Bonnar. Those two are way more deserving than half of the UFC 102 card and atleast 3 fights on the UFC 101 card.
  14. Easily the worst title fight since Sylvia vs Arlovski 3. Silva was so uninterested that he was throwing punches to Leites' leg! hahaha, I've never seen that before. Can we just fast forward to UFC 100? Speaking of 100, Mark Coleman vs Bonnar is scheduled as a PRELIM! A UFC HOF'er on a prelim is ridicuilous. With the amount of s***ty fights on most cards because Dana White wants to force TUF fighters down our throats, you'd think this fight could've been scheduled for UFC 101 or 102 so it could be on the main card.
  15. It's got to be GSP vs Silva if GSP wins. The UFC needs to put Silva up against someone who actually wants to fight. Leites wanted nothing to do with Anderson tonight and Silva didnt take any chances. Silva could've gone for the finish but why push something when you're pretty much being handed a victory.
  16. the AC vents must be blowing in this inning.
  17. The ump had to talk himself into calling that a strike.
  18. maybe I should keep up with my projections.
  19. unbelievable that we're only going to score 1. Welcome to White Sox Baseball.
