ESPN definitely did the WC right when broadcasting it. Also is Russia the lowest ranked team bc of the FIFA rankings and the lack of points earned from qualifiers/etc?

The way Romo has been pitching, this has the potential to blow up in the Rays face and the baseball media will have a field day. Just like the media had a field day when the Rays said they were using “bullpen” days for the 4th/5th rotation spots. The media went crazy thinking it was going to be like 6 pitchers throwing a game and the bullpen was going to be blown up. It really was just limiting rookie pitchers innings and trips through the batting order. Chirinos has 5 starts and was named the 4th starter before landing on the DL. Yarbrough has 3 starts for 15IP and 7 reliefs appearances for another 19IP (3 of those relief appearances were for 4,4,5IP) and will be coming in for Romo tomorrow. Be interesting to see if more teams start doing this when they have young pitchers on the ML roster, especially in rebuilding years.

I’d like to see Washington win just for Ovechkin but i don’t care if WSH wins beyond that. Atleast win the ECF. Generally i cheer against any Canadian based team. Always enjoy when the last team from Canada goes out just bc of their media. For some reason though I’ve always had a soft spot for the Flames. But I’m on the Jets bandwagon this year. I’m ok with the 25 year drought ending with the Jets winning it.

Dickerson was Extremely lucky in the first half. Swings at terrible pitches, doesn’t walk but he can hit it far. There’s been speculation of him being traded since last trading deadline and they haven’t been able to move him. Not surprised he won’t be on the opening day roster but surprised on how it played out.

Those three teams are not good, weakest Hex in years.

Last night and today sucks but in a few hours I'll be watching the playoffs and then football all weekend. I won't go out of my way to watch the WC draw in December but next summer when this team isn't prepping for Russia with friendlies is when it'll really set in for me. Ive said it before but one of my favorite things about the WC is the actual qualifying. But this team was painful to watch. Couldn't even win one match away from home and this was a weak Hex. Honduras is trash. So is T&T. It's really amazing this team couldn't even get to the playoff. But last night summed up the last 3 years. JK should've been fired after that 4th place finish in the Gold Cup. I get why Arena was brought in, just to get to Russia but that didn't work. And how often does the reunions ever work? Maybe that's the good in this. We get to Russia and that delays the fundamental changes that need to take place. Or maybe worse, the USSF doesn't feel the heat and the status quo continues.

I think we can say Kentucky will never beat Florida. Twice UK forgot to cover a WR coming out of a timeout and both plays resulted in a TD. Blows a 13pt lead in final 8-9 minutes and gets an iffy holding call on the center that took away what would've been a 35-40 yard FG attempt in final seconds. Instead a 57 yard attempt falls about 2 yards short. Just not going to happen. And all the talk of Jimbo Fisher being a top tier coach needs to end. Unless FSU wins out, this season will be the 5th time in 6 seasons FSU will lose 3+ games when Winston isn't their QB. He gets a lot of top talent but what has he done with those players?
