QUOTE(kwill @ Dec 17, 2006 -> 04:18 AM) Daily Herald did an article explaining the recent trade. They obviously took qoutes from kenny and he said at one " We are expecting to do another move very soon and it wont be to the delight of much fan fair". To be honest thats not exactly it but close... I hope its not tradign away MB If he trades MB So be it. MB is gonna take off to the Cards at years end anyways.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ May 15, 2006 -> 02:32 PM) Not sure if this has been discussed, but if Anderson's bat continues to stay under .200, and the Twins are willing to deal, I would love to see Hunter roaming our outfield. Obviously his glove is unreal...but he is also a pretty decent hitter, and we know he knows how to run over a cather. Ouch! Should we pursue him and what do you think he would cost us? ODDS????? : 0

QUOTE(hi8is @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 02:49 AM) he does have a big heart and a soft spot... such a great person.... the day after a spring training game in 2005 in which he had given up 6 runs in 4 IP.... i told him, "you threw the ball great yesterday Jose, dont worry... your going to do great this year" the way he looked at me was somewhat shocked and somewhat touched. what i said truly effected him. it was probably unreal for him to go out there and make a dozen or so mistakes and then have a fan tell him he threw the ball well... the last spring training he had in 2004 with the yankees, people were probably hostile with him. its one of my fondest recent memories. You Sure he understood You?

QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 03:01 PM) Garland's lack of K's suggest that he's not nearly as good of a pitcher as his ERA and WHIP suggested last season. Simply put, a lot of balls get put into play when he pitches. Huh!!! So you're saying that a pitcher is no godd cause he doesn't strike People Out?? I think Pitching is GETTING PEOPLE OUT not only striking them out. There's many pitchers in the hall ofd fame that weren't strikeout guys.. And balls get put into play if there hit at someone there outs.

QUOTE(RME JICO @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 03:58 AM) I would bring Sweeney or Owens up and give them a shot, especially if Pods is going to be out for awhile. Not going to burn an Option on one of them to sit on the bench, There better off in the minors and there not ready yet for Prrriiimeee Timeee

QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 11:26 PM) Serious? It's a bag of white powder behind the mound that pitchers use to dry their hands. Just don't use Doc Gooden's.

How many times have these dolts said the Cubs have the best rotation and they even said it this year!!!! While Prior and Wood start the season on the DL :headshake
-
Why do you guys even pay attention to them? I mean.. They miss every year... There just wild gueses like someone said based on there biased opinion. The games are played on the field not what the ESPN morons say. I didn't read it but how many of those morons have the cubs in the NL and the Yanks winning it alll?

QUOTE(SouthsideBlitz @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 06:27 PM) Ditto

Almanza had had good K numbers more than 1 per inning, But he is equally wild and you can't have that from a lefty specialist. Javier Lopez ain't good either, Only thing is that he's a submariner. http://www.baseball-reference.com/a/almanar01.shtml Those are Almanza's Numbers

QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 01:48 PM) If the Season Started today... excluding the White Sox, who would be: Your Sleeper Team? Your Bust Team? Sleeper = Brewers Bust = Mets

He did Wrong. But what he did on the playing field sould be reconized. Like it or Not. TY Cobb was an asshole and one of the biggest biggots of his time. and he's in the hall....
-
Agreed 100% I mean as I said look at Lawrence Taylor, I think he got arrested 3 or 4 days before being inducted in the Football H.O.F. I mean he was a Junkie. But they looked at his playing days. Rose played the game hard and has the hits record. He deserves the Hall. I mean the Absolut leader in hits in the History of the game not in the Hall????
