  4. I do too. And thate why many people have hatred or at least stays away the Cell, cause they blame Reinsdork in part for the strike and that blew our chances
  5. Well I dont know cause Cleveland was comming strong and there was still 52 games left. Mcdowell didnt pitch that well that season either did Roberto Hernandez
  6. When it all seemed the Sox would be heading into post season play again, The Players strike stopped the season and eventually canceled the rest of the season, and the Sox finished first 69-44 in the new American League Central. Frank Thomas once again was the big start hitting .353 smashing 38 homers and driving in 101 runs in only 399 at bats. Being named the American league MVP for the second straight season. Designated Hitter Julio Franco (.319) also had a superb season hitting 28 homers and driving in 98 runs, 3rd baseman Robin Ventura had a another good season hitting .282 and Center Fielder Lance Johnson (.277) again led the league in triples with 14. Rightfielder Darrin Jackson came back from cancer to hit .312 and Ozzie Guillen hit .288. Lefthander Wilson Alvarez (12-8) and right Jason Bere (12-2) led the team with 12 wins while Righthander Alex Fernandez added 11 wins. Righthander Jack McDowell slumped a bit and ended up 10-9 but tied with Bere for the team lead in strikeouts with 127. Roberto Hernandez had 14 saves but a high ERA of 4.94.

Bo Hit that ball so high and Mike Blowers starting going back at it at third base and all of a sudden Griffey and Briley i think it was were at the wall. I remember Kirk McCaskill getting the save and after the game was over Bo Running around the warning track waiving a pair of white sox

  16. Do you gotta call people names to support your baseless argument?? It seems to me you know Jack s***. All you do is b**** and moan, If you don't like the team just root for the Yanks or something. Kenny has made 1 bad trade yes, But has made several good ones and has made Reinsdork open the pocket to go for it, and has the balls to pull the trigger, Something i can't say about Shueler. If your gonna argue there's no need to call people names, all you seem is a like a 5th grader in the patio of the school. Sheesh GROW UP FOR ONCE, I'm sick of it and i'm sure others are too. Have a nice day :dips***
  17. Yeah and I'll be having a threesome with Brooke Burke and Jessica Alba
  18. No thanks. :puke
  19. For the first time in a Decade the Sox are in post season play after Finishing first (94-68) 8 games ahead of Texas in the AL west. Lance Johnson (.311) led the league in triples again with 14, Designated Hitter George Bell was injured and only hit .217. Shortstop Ozzie Guillen made a nice comeback after missing all but 20 games of last season hitting .280. Another Remarkable comeback was that of former Royal and Football star Bo Jackson after Hip surgery Bo hit .232 and smacked 16 homers in only 238 at bats, and his homer against Seattle was the division Clincher. On the Mound Jack Mcdowell Won the Cy Young award going 22-10 with a 3.37 ERA with 4 shutouts. Young Righty Alex Fernandez was 18-9 and had a 3.17 ERA and led the team in strikeouts with 169, Lefty Wilson Alvarez (15-8) led the team with a 2.98 ERA. Rookie Jason Bere came up in May and after losing his first start against Kansas City pitched Well and finished 12-5. Out of the bullpen Roberto Hernandez took over the closers Role and had 38 saves and lefty Scott Radinsky had 8 wins and 4 saves. Attendance was a strong 2,581,091 for 3rd best in the League. After the season Frank Thomas was named League MVP and 2nd year manager Gene LaMont named Manager of the year. But regretfully the Sox lost in the playoffs to the Blue Jays 4 games to 2.

  24. A season of somewhat frustration for the Sox as the teams hopes went down in the wake of the Season ending knee injury to team leader and shortstop Ozzie Guillen. The Sox finished 3rd (86-76) 10 games back in the AL west. Frank Thomas once again was the Hitting star leading the team in Batting Average (.323) RBI’s (115) and led the league in Doubles (46) and smashed 24 homers. The Running game was solid, Lance Johnson (.279) lead the league with 13 triples and added 41 steals, LeftFielder Tim Raines (.294) had 45 and second baseman Steve Sax (.236) who struggled with the Glove and the bat added 30 steals. Graig Grebeck filled in nicely for Guillen until he too went down to injury. On the Mound Righty Jack McDowell (20-11) became the teams first 20 game winner since 1983 and had a 3.18 ERA. Left y Greg Hibbard (10-7) Struggled and finished with a 4.40 ERA. Veteran Kirk McCaskill (12-13) and Knuckler Charlie Hough (9-10) rounded out the staff with Youngster Alex Fernandez (8-13).
