  1. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Apr 9, 2007 -> 11:17 PM) I'll put something in her Taco
  2. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 9, 2007 -> 11:16 PM) Yes, sadly. The worst part was, I already knew the story, so I was listening to something I didn't care less about that I already knew. Singleton was right about him deserving $10 after listening to that thing... everyone listening should get $10. I almost fell asleep
  3. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Apr 9, 2007 -> 10:58 PM) Did this guy play at Kane County? I think so White Sox fans have seen this movie before
  4. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Apr 9, 2007 -> 08:47 PM) I will now open myself up to new names Keep the name
  5. I thought he would stay, but I have been saying I'll believe he would stay when I see it.
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 8, 2007 -> 04:10 PM) It's not even Hawk, it's just common sense to anybody. You really can't hit any of his other pitches, no matter who you are, so your only prayer is sit on the fastball. Don't get me wrong, I completly agree. If he throws you four changeups, so be it. Btw, Santana is gonna have a HUGE year(yea, I know that's going out on a limb). But Hawk mentioned something that caught my eye, the fact that the Twins had him throw more changeups in spring training this year, because it took him time to get a feel for it in the past. The last few years he has struggled in at the beginning of the year, and he's looking good so far. I could see him winning 25 games, and he should be going for his fourth straight Cy Young(he should have won it over Colon two years ago).
  7. Nice outing by Danks, If he had that same line every game I'd be thrilled. Iguchi worries me right now, especially after his bad spring. I still worry about our 1-2, even after they're out to a good start. Oh, it's nice to see Ozzie actually using Anderson. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 8, 2007 -> 03:59 PM) BTW, why doesn't every hitter just go up there and sit dead fastball on Johan? I know it's not as easy as it sounds, but we could at least get a run or two that way right? Obviously they haven't been listening to Hawk
  8. QUOTE(Craig Grebeck @ Apr 7, 2007 -> 07:19 PM) I just found it incredible that there was a tough lefty up in the eighth and Ozzie didn't even give Brian an AB. Get his ass in Charlotte if you're not going to play him. I understand it worked out in the end, but there was no reason not to give him an opportunity. If he's the CF of the future, He needs more than 1 AB every four games. I know it worked out, but I wanted to throw my remote at the TV when he didn't pinch-hit for Pods. Hopefully Brian does well when he's actually out there so we can have him in center and Pods in left.
  9. Saw Blades of Glory last night, I'd give it about 3 stars. The beginning was good and Will Ferrells character was great, but other than that it was just so-so. Isn't near as good as Talledaga Nights.
  10. I don't think he is done, but he is the starter that worries me the most(besides danks). I thought Garland should have started opening day instead of him though.
  11. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 01:01 PM) It is common for the school to make the recruit talk to the new coach before releasing them. I knew that, but I thought the NCAA just made it a rule. I thought I heard it on CBS or ESPN.
  12. I would love to see the Sox make a run at Suzuki either at the break(although we don't have much to give up and they will ask for a lot, though we have raped Bavasi twice ) or after the season. Sweeney/Anderson/Suzuki would be a nice outfield
  13. Assuming there is no DH this weekend, there will probably be one at the Min series on July 5-7 as it's right before the all-star break.
  14. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 01:01 AM) Against the Yankees. Of course it's been done before. Yea, I just heard it wrong. It was hard to believe.
  15. QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 08:34 AM) Beasley is talking to NC State, FSU, and USC. However, Kstate said they won't release him from his scholarship. I thought the school had to release him if the coach left?
  16. QUOTE(tigerfan @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 10:26 PM) I'm assuming you mean the links for the current game don't work. Not working here either somehow. I wonder if after a certain time the games can't be seen, because they didn't work at this time last night either (but worked fine today earlier). You have to download new software. Im still gonna try it though.
  17. According to BBTN, Elijah Dukes is the first player in major league history to homer in his first two games. It's amazing that has never been done.
  18. The links don't work for me, but that's awesome. Plus I don't get comcast right now. BTW MLB.tv has a free five day trial in April.
  19. QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 08:24 PM) They do have that. But they only stream a couple games a night. Last year they made you pay, although it wasn't a lot. They have a lot of AA and AAA games as well as the lower levels.
  20. Hawk Harrelson is the best announcer in the history of baseball. I don't like his over the top homerism, but even with it he's still great. If you don't like Hawk I suggest you buy MLB extra innings or MLBtv so you can see how bad some of the other announcers are. While we are at it I don't see why everyone thought Rooney was so special
  21. The WGN gun was way off. I'm concerned having Masset as a long man. When he was a closer his stuff and #s were much better than when he was a starter.
