  6. but those were young college students....Disney HATES old people...especially the disabled ones.
  7. I average .5 sick days per month. In all honesty, I'm a bank teller, I TRY not to use it on a peak day like friday.... usually my "planned" sick day is a wednesday. I just think it's a mistake for an employer to give me 8 hours of sick time, unless they think I'm not going to use it. I understand that we should save it for a real sick incident, but I have 40 hours stashed away already...any time I use now is just my monthly acrued. so, I'm ok, I think.
  8. see, if I were actually trying to bring home the bacon for my family, I'd take it more seriously. There's lots of things I do respect about my job, I just feel, like Southsider said, I they respected me more, I'd respect them. It's my right to have sick time, and I'll use it from time to time. I have 3 months left there anyway.

If you have "sick" time to use, do you think it's (un)ethical to call in "sick" if you're 1) not really sick and just want to chill out for a day. 2) not really sick and have errands and things to do that you wouldn't be able to do otherwise 3) not really physically sick, but could use a mental day to refresh yourself 4) sick, but could still function correctly and not be miserable at work. 5) exhausted from working out and staying up too late etc...

let me direct you to dictionary dot com.....look under "douche bag" his dog's names are "Head", "Ima", and "Deek"
  21. it's cool. I prefer the word "discuss" anyway... I save "arguements" for people like gashwound, etc anyway, I guess I was raised on Clapton, bread, tower of power, beach boys, and toto...so for me, I'm just not a HUGE beatles fan. If I said that clapton's range was better than anyone in the beatles, I'm clearly wrong, but I don't believe I said that. I do believe, as baggio tried to say, that "thing" about EC's voice, that tone, timbre, whatever you call it, is undeniably cool. It's like Jeff Buckley, Neil Young, or Rufus Wainwright. Any one of those guys could drive you mad, because they've got "interesting" and stylized voices. Michael Stipe and Bono also come to mind. I'm just saying that there are better singers, writers, lyricists, etc out there. It does stand that the beatles were great at all of those things. (probably the first time in musical history that that's the case... i.e. why they're so highly touted.) I'll take it to my grave that they're still overrated, however. (once again, not a bad thing...) Brando, you keep placing yourself in my generalized categories...not the other way around. let the normal, musically illiterates speak for themselves
  22. "Onnnnnnnnnnnce I lived a life of a millionaire...spend all my money, didn't have any cares..." "Alllllllllberta...Albertaaaaaaa....." "Would you knoooooooooow my name..........if I saw you in heaven....." flasoxxjim...please. no vocal range? hmm...I respect you most out of this musically illiterate group...you can actually play this music. hehe *preparing for the onslaught* (and the bad "I can play it on my stereo" jokes)...

  24. no prob! It looks great
  25. If it wasn't the beatles "changing" the music scene, then it would have been someone else. Talent-wise, there has been better guitarists, drummers, musicians, writers, lyricists, etc...etc...etc... They changed the world, no doubt, they were the first band to blow up on a global scale, both through name recognition, but in scope of influence and media attention. they didn't save a dying art-form, that's ridiculous. They did alter it and put their mark on music, like Mozart did, like Radiohead did, like Pink Floyd did, like Elvis did, like countless others. I will admit, it was the media explosion around the beatles that made them so huge. Our nation was just exiting the 50s, marketing was transforming into what it is today....the whore of western civilization....did anyone watch the superbowel? hehe, bowel. Cdub is correct, arguably, the beatles are the greatest band in history. Brando and bones are correct as well, there's plenty of room for overrating this band, for reasons listed above. Clapton was twice the musician and singer of anyone in the beatles. It's just hard to erase the harmonies of "I wanna hold your hand" out of our minds... it's just too good.
