lol @ arterisk season, this isn't an Astros championship. In 5 years no one will remember just like '81 was a strike shortened season. Does that dodger WS have an asterisk? in any fans mind? -

FTFY I don't see the sox signing Springer in the off-season, I think we're closer to the Pederson/Brantley level of move for RF unless Mazara goes on a complete tear this month and into the post-season. I don't see the mets selling at the deadline or in the off-season, new owner is going to come in and try to make a big splash in the biggest market. -

Honest question, what do you personally think will be available in the off-season? If the sox are shipping off Madrigal, I'd imagine Hahn would want another professional hitter instead of betting on Mendick being an average to slightly above regular. I respect that opinion I just don't see a top shelf arm available at the deadline that lines up with this front offices stated goals. -

Seager is elite at 3B defense as well SSS be damned. Having said that I understand not wanting to move Moncada off the hot corner. Seager's contract is the following $3,768,518 remaining for this year, 18M for '21 and since in this scenario hes been traded a $15M player option for '22 and he is only 32, not some fossil they'll have well past his prime. I would welcome a pitcher similar to DK in Gonzales on this staff with open arms that would be here for the whole window, especially with this infield defense and whos patrolling CF. line up could look something like this for the remainder of the year Anderson - SS Moncada# - 2B Abreu - 1B Grandal# - C Jimenez - LF Seager* - 3B Robert - CF EE - DH Mazara* / Engel - RF Giolito Keuchel* Cease Gonzales* Dunning / Gonzalez* Going into the off-season you further fortify the rotation with Bauer and pick up better platoon partner for Engel in Pederson or Brantley. -

Maybe something like this Gonzales + Seager for Kopech, Lopez, Madrigal and Rutherford/Gonzalez -

That doesn't exist but going back to this past off-season i was banging the drum for Marco Gonzales, you would have control for 6 years including this year. If we're going to move top prospects lets get a long term controllable asset. Maybe pair it up with Seager and transition Moncada back to 2B. Seager gives us another LH bat in the line up and is controllable for 3 years including '2020. -

I just don't see the mets trading anything this deadline as the sale is pending. -
White Sox Acquire Jarrod Dyson from PIT
beautox replied to Look at Ray Ray Run's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Love this move and it doesn't affect the cuban intl sweep stakes. Dyson is a weapon off the bench as a PR and an elite defensive outfielder. Dyson-Robert-Engel is awesome. I expect Gonzalez to be sent down and Goins and Collins dropped when Sanchez and Madrigal come up. -
its because of their big league blood lines.

I think if they make a solid run they'll pay McCann market rate. The weak spots going into '21 are another rotation anchor unless Cease or Lopez take the leap and right field. If they re-sign McCann and sign someone like Bauer or Stroman in the off-season they have major league ready pieces to move. Two of Dunning, Stiever, Lopez or Rodon, Collins and Burger as a lotto ticket throw in and a young but under performing outfielder in Adolfo or Rutherford. -

This is where I'm at as well. Sign Puig or make minor trades for Pillar and Walker. Why jeopardize the the length of the window to bet it all on a shortened season that could end if there is a major outbreak, its too short sighted. The kids can play but trading for Lynn or DeGrom isn't it. -
Is this the year the white sox sweep the awards? CY - Gio hes .5 away from Bieber in the AL (thats a ton in a short season) MVP - Abreu is a stones throw in all triple crown categories ROY - its between Lewis and Robert Manager of the Year - Well 3 out of 4 aint bad ?

My kids were in bed; my son 6 and my daughter 2 were woken up and sitting with me for the final 9 outs...
